I hate to be the one to burst the bubble but he cannot play at either place. He is way too soft and was really a non factor in the sweet 16. Pikeville would be a better fit.

 

He's still a kid and as is probably still growing, give him a break. He'll get tougher when he becomes a man.

This is great for him, but I just do not see him being a DI talent. He's good but not DI good.

I'm glad for Treg. I don't blame him for the commitment. When the opportunity comes along , jump on just in case you don't get anything else. I really do think he will have to put in a lot of hard work this summer and next year to make a quality player there.:ylsuper:

What it says is the region is devoid of quality talent. He still might have a year but a leopard does not change its spots. Glad the kid can get a free ride and an education. He cannot and will not play there. He simply isn't good enough and his attitude won't allow him to develop.

Why do you continue to trash a high school student? It sounds like you have personnal issues with the young man. We are talking about a minor. Grow up please.

No, what is says is that Fleming County is deviod of quality talent and the jealousy level is through the roof. You worry about the 16th region talent and we'll worry about the 10th.

No jealousy. :ohbrother: Just stating fact. It amazes me the people that think how good all of these kids are when in fact they are not. These kids continue to keep getting talked up when in reality this is not the case. In Setty's case, he could be much better if he were more coachable but at the same time, he wouldn't get a sniff in the Mid South yet people think he can play at a higher level than SIU? Maybe if these kids would not get so overhyped, they would actually play at a level where they can play instead of coming home after a year.

"WOW", to qoute a few.Don't know why or how this thread has taken off the way it has, think a lot(as usual?) on my post has been taken out of context,misread,etc. by certain posters. Treg and Trevor are and were very good players. Said on this very board before last season that Treg would dominate this past year and average 30 points per game,still think 20-25 is capable for next season. But to say anyone is going to play anywhere on a verbal commitment before anything is signed, like was broadcast on here about Trevor going to OSU last season is wrong and if Treg ends up at Pikeville or Georgetown or Morehead State, that would be just fine(I like all of those universities). They are Mason County pipelines and that is just fact,:deadhorse: but no one should get upset because of that or someone commenting on that,especially the Royals fan base.:idunno: Hoped Trevor would have went to OSU and that Treg goes to SIU or better, just like I thought Russ Middleton committed too early and could have gotten higher Division 1 than Georgetown. :walk:

There's very few boys that I've seen this past year in the state that's above the NAIA level. Sometimes we think we're better than we actually are.

People a lot of times make the mistake of basing a Kentucky player's talent level from what they do in Kentucky. Kentucky is the richest state in the country when it comes to 5'10 shooting guards and 6'2 power forwards. Still, Kentucky does have the most exciting hoops around, especially come tournament time.

Middleton from last year or 75% of Kentucky's high school elite players this year could ALL play at a Northern Iowa, a Butler, a St. Mary's,etc. NAIA(get real). It's all about the system and coach and if kids would actually consider leaving their friends, girl friends,etc. in Kentucky:idunno: and look outside the state they would find this out. There's tons of Northern Iowa's out there.
