They did the same thing to Kentucky in 2003. They were the overall # 1 seed and their reward was getting the toughest bracket.:irked:

 

Now it's 2010 and it's deja vu all over again. UK is the second of the 4 #1 seeds and ends up with the most difficult road to the Final Four of all the # 1's. Duke is the 4th of the # 1 seeds and gets the easiest road.

It's something about the play-in game winner playing on Friday, which would put them in that bracket playing Duke. It's not to do with what rank each number one seed is.

Well, if you're playing the chalk, the committee didn't want WVU and the 'Cuse in the same region.

In all honesty, I am not sure how anyone with a straight face could say that Duke's body of work is better than the Cuse. Then again, since I am not a Duke fan and root for Kentucky, the only explanation can be is that I am blinded by bias.

The only reason Duke was a number 3 seed and Syracuse the #4 was so that Duke did not have to go out west to play. I feel that there were outside factors that influenced this decision.

 

Greg Anthony asked the chairman how Duke was seeded higher than Syracuse and he kind of stammered something about not winning their tournament, not really answering and said something about the last two #1 seeds coming down to Syracuse, Duke and West Virginia.

I agree. I thought West Virginia and Syracuse should have been the 1's and Duke a 2. But, its not that big of a deal to me. I think the seedings benefit UK tremendously if they make it to Indy. I'd much rather play any team that comes from the Duke bracket than the options on the other side (Syracuse, K-State, G'town, Ohio State). But, UK has to get there first.

You guys are right. We should be the 2 seed in the East Region and West Virginia should be the 1 seed in the South but you know what?(blue devil horns beginning to sprout out of head)

 

We are the Duke Blue Devils. That's right. That is the only explanation you need. What we want we get whether we deserve it or not. You mean after all these years you guys hadn't figured that out? We are the NCAA. Ask Corey Maggette. We never do anything wrong and if it looks like we might get caught doing something wrong we will find a way to make the NCAA clear our good name. Teams all over the country envy us. We do very little year in and year out but we are always treated as royalty. All we need to do is win our conference tourney and we are a 1 seed. It is in our contract with CBS and the NCAA. We can lose 10 games and still get a 3 seed because despite public opinion we are the best ran college basketball program and the NCAA will always recognize and reward us for that.(horns at full length)

 

We are the Duke Blue Devils. We have the best coach, the smartest students, the best home court advantage, the best referees and the best under the table contract with CBS and the NCAA. I really thought you guys knew all of this already. I know this might be a little hard for some of you to take, but if Duke and their fans are the bad guys I will no longer defend Duke and their evil ways. I will embrace it. I always root for the bad guys anyways.
