c-ville Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Who are the best players in the state tournament that many in the state may have never heard of? How about 6'7" Colt Barnhill of East Carter. What a great player Mr. Barnhill is. The Air Force Academy is rumored to lead for his services. Who else will make a name for themselves at the big show?

Tough first-round matchup for the Raiders, though.
King James Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 I definitely agree with Barnhill. Many have not seen him play. Also, Stuart Stamper and Tate Cox from Knott County Central are both nice players.
Touch The Line Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 I am very interested in seeing some of the names and faces from Newport. With the huge statement win over a very good Holmes team, could make for a fun and interesting run by the wildcats.

They are all capable of impressing. Keep your eyes on: Foster, Luther, McDaniels, Collins, Sizemore, and Tucker. When they are all on as a unit they can be amazing. :thumb:

He was the man versus Holmes.

He is like 6-4 and built just like him. He also has serious hops and has had some highlight blocks this season. This is a team with no big stars and no eye-popping numbers but the most imporant thing is they play as a TEAM!
Snappy502 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Put Kyle Bair from East Carter into the mix as well, he doesn't do anything GREAT, but he does about everything well! For a high school point guard I think that is about all you can ask: get the ball into half-court and run the offense. Bair does both of these well and has impressed me in the limited times I've seen him play in the last two years.
All In Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Jordan Gilbert and Justin Lang of Mason County, two of the scrappiest, back down to no one, regardless of their size guards in the state. Because of these two, and a break here and there Mason County has a legit shot of playing on Saturday morning

mcpapa Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Is Christian County's Shaquille Wilson healthy? If so...
