Carr is class all the way.

 

IMO, He leaves Scott for one job and one job only, and I don't see that coming open.

 

If he wanted to go the college route he would of went last year IMO.

He has done a great job at Scott in my view.

Carr's mentor happens to coach GRC..

I've seen Coach Carr on numerous occasions. He is very intense on the sidelines and pushes his players to the limit. He is a fantastic coach and has brought Scott HS from the ruins and competed for a regional title the last 4 years. O'Conner kid better grow up fast if he is going to play in the college ranks. I know for a fact Coach Carr has gotten on other players 10x harder. Scott's administration better not drop the ball on this one. Interesting to see what head coaching jobs open up. Could it be that Coach Carr is sick of dealing with his administration and will look elsewhere. Anyone associated with Scott basketball better hope he doesnt become head coach at a rival or district school. The coaches I've heard that may take over if he leaves will never beat him. EVER!

This would be a shame, old school coach that get's the best out of his kid's, Yes he yells a lot but that is part of today's problems with kid's no discipline Brad teaches that and some parents don't and they do not like someone else doing it either.

The 2007 team went 22-10 and was within 15 seconds of going to the finals at the Fieldhouse. losing to GRC by 1. The y were also ranked 21st in the state that year.

I know not the incident first hand but wonder when it is ever necessary to jump a kid on the sidelines. I cannot support ever singling out a kid in anger. Taking them out and not playing them is message enough. Pull them aside and handle it like the adult you want them to be. On the other side, the intensity of the moment sometimes drives us to make "mistakes" out of anger/frustration. That is an issue between coach/parent/player/administrator, hopefully as a coach you have a good enough relationship with all parrties to get through it. For SHS's sake, I hope that one incident does not define years of good work.

That team was also without Chris Quigley for the last half of the season and he definitely would have provided a difference in the loss to GRC in the regional semi-finals. I am pretty sure they got as high as 16th in the state that year.

Taylor Mill better hope he stays at that school. It's a shame one kid can ruin it for everyone. Just because one kid isnt coachable shouldnt put a coach on the hot seat! Carr takes it personally to insure the best wellfare of every kid on that team on and off the basketball court.

Everyone was treated the same way by Carr. Make a mistake and you will know it. Three year starter or not he should not get special treatment. But of course if Carr yells at eveyone but littlle (Big) Johnnie, then everything is ok. But yell at Johinnie and there is a problem. If the parents had a problem with the way Carr coached then they should have spoken up on behalf of all the players and not when little Johnnie is yelled at! That's the difference between Carr and these parents, Carr has every players interest at heart and the parents care only about their own!
