Looks as if the Bengal's Brandon Marshall talk is a smokescreen to raise the price tag and sign someone else. What a bummer.

 

That doesn't make near as much sense as either the Bengals have a genuine interest in Marshall or they are floating the idea of signing Marshall to drive down the price of signing TO or Bryant.

Bengals should have the money after a playoff game and releasing Coles saved money right? Should be able to give TO 3-5 mill for one year.

If they want to sign a nearly 40 year old WR for 5 million, then they are going to have to live with the results which I don't expect to be that good. It's the NFL, pay people what they deserve. If they want to fix the offense they need to pay Marshall exactly what he wants and quit running the team like it's a thrift store or something.

With as injury prone as Boldin is. Just would have made more sense to keep Chad, and not even have gotten Boldin if they get Marshall. With Marshall and Chad they will be very explosive. Chad while not as great as he use to be, would tear up single coverage by the other teams 2nd corner.

 

I agree Marshall and Chad would be nice. I disagree about Boldin. People say he is injury prone he has really just had one serious injury excluding the broken jaw he bounced right back from. He is one of the toughest WR's in the league. Wait and see if Arz doesn't go downhill.

Boldin it seems like has missed at least one or two games every year for the last few years. I could be wrong, but it seems like he always misses a couple of games lately. Missing just one or two games definitely would hurt...

 

By the way if Arizona goes down hill, it will be more because of Warner not playing than it will be not having Boldin. Arizona's offense still did really well when he was not playing, because they have a couple of other pretty good young receivers.
