UKMustangFan Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 If you're referring to the ESPN report just before, the thread title is extremely misleading....They said they have internally discussed the possibility of trying to add him.
ukfan36 Posted March 7, 2010 Author Posted March 7, 2010 Reports from AdamSchefter twitter and Profootball Talk.
Blue Magic Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 I'm hearing Antonio Bryant is the first choice for the Bengals. All reports about Marshall and the Bengals have been that his future is being discussed in the organization and contemplating pursuing him. Marshall is on their mind, but they aren't planning meetings or dealing with offers quite yet.
bcd00 Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 I'd atleast attempt to get this done, he would be a good replacement for Chad once he begins to decline and it would mean giving up a first rounder they would most likely use on a rookie recieve anyway.
HammerTime Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 It's going to take more than 1 pick to get this done IMO.
bcd00 Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 It's going to take more than 1 pick to get this done IMO. They only used the first round tender on him but I agree it might take a later round pick as well.
Blue Magic Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 It's going to take more than 1 pick to get this done IMO. It absolutely will.
futurecoach Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 It's going to take more than 1 pick to get this done IMO. I would have thought so to. However if it was going to take more than that, then you would have thought that Denver would have just put that 1st and 3rd round tender on him like they could have.
bigblueinsanity Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Bryant is always injured I really don't want him.
THUNDERBIRDS Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 It's going to take more than 1 pick to get this done IMO. Give them what they want. Draft picks are way too overrated. IMO! Look at our 1st rounder this past season. What a waste!!!!
Blue Magic Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Bryant is always injured I really don't want him. I'm sure the consensus would come out to be in this order. 1) Brandon Marshall 2) T.O. 3) Antonio Bryant Go down the pecking order and if you can't get B Marsh, go on to T.O., if things don't work out go for Bryant. I have a feeling the Bengals are going the exact opposite direction with maybe a thought or two of pursuing Marshall before T.O.

futurecoach Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Give them what they want. Draft picks are way too overrated. IMO! Look at our 1st rounder this past season. What a waste!!!! Im sorry to tell you this, but draft picks are what made this team a playoff team last year. Most of all the key players came from the Bengals drafts over the years. So draft picks are not overrated at all, draft picks are what builds teams. Free agents is just what gives teams the final missing pieces. So every now and then it is ok to give up draft picks for someone like in this case. However overall draft picks are not overrated at all.
