With the exception of TD's, I see a decline. With that said, he can still put up good numbers, but he is in the decline. :thumb:

 

Let's remember he had no-one to throw to him in 2008, and no-one to compliment him in 2009. He faced more double teams this past season than he's seen in his career, and he still put up over 1000 yards. He probably had his best year for YAC.

The more likely explanation is that the Bengals are trying to drive down the demands of the other receivers whom they currently are considering -- Antonio Bryant and Terrell Owens. Bryant made nearly $10 million in 2009; he likely is looking for a deal that averages close to that number. And Owens consistently has been able to get big-money contracts even in one-team bidding wars, under the notion that Owens won't be "happy" with his new team unless he's making the kind of money that causes him to conclude that his skills are being properly respected.

 

So we think that the Bengals are considering Brandon Marshall in order to let Bryant and Owens know that, for the kind of cash they presumably want, the Bengals are more inclined to pay it to a guy who is younger and, frankly, better than either of them.

Wonder why it's not all over the news then? Because I'd say Marshall's agent would leak information like that ASAP, to pressure other teams.

By leak it, I mean tell someone in the press, tell other teams...anything to get the word out and pressure other teams.

I know what you meant. I just feel like it doesn't need to become public knowledge to put pressure on a team. The people who matter will know regardless.

Not sure, all I know is I was with him when he got the phone call that he would be needed this week to pick up either Marshall, TO, or Bryant from the airport because all 3 were visiting at some point.
