gbbfan Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Montgomery Co. has a lot of tools but seeing that Clark Co. has beaten them twice already this season and the last game by double digits, I would have to give Clark Co. the nod for winning the region. But as we know, anything could happen at this point.
Texas Leaguer Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 ^Why are you assuming Clark County will make the finals? They still have to play a very tough Scott squad who beat them earlier in the year if I believe... Or have they played already tonight and I'm out of the loop?
bcd00 Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Apparently that district title loss woke up the Indians. I say they win the Title for the 6th time.
lexkyfan Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 All previous games are out the door!! Montgomery will bring everything have to beat Clark for the Region!!

BluegrassGator Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Congrats to the Indians. They always show why they have won five straight region titles. And congrats to the Lady Bears on a great season. Finish with a 18-9 record a 10th region class A championship and a 10th region semifinalist. Great season by the bears and coach Kelsch!

Randy Parker Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Montgomery was just better, plain and simple. As others have said, there's a reason this program has won five consecutive titles in the 10th. Congratulations to them & best of luck Saturday afternoon going for #6. As for the Lady Bears team & coaching staff, that was one heck of a season. Eighteen wins, a Class A championship, a great showing in the Class A state, district runner-up, & a semi-final appearance in the 10th region tourney. You had a great year. This has been the best season Bracken County girls basketball has experienced since the early 1990's. And as for the "Magnificent Seven" thanks for the ride. It was sweet! :thumb:

PRESSROW Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Congrats to Coach Kelsch and staff and to all players on a great season. Especially to the seniors, what a way to finish your basketball careers. Even though it was in the semifinals and every kid that plays has the dream of going to Bowling Green, you were still able to finish in postseason play. I echo what Randy Parker says, it has been quite a ride for these girls and something they can always look back on the accomplishments along the way starting back in the seniors freshmen year where they were regional champs, and then this season when they claimed the All A regional title and represented their families, school, and the community of Brooksville at the All A state tournament. I had the chance to talk with Coach Kelsch last night following the game and I can tell you that Bracken County is blessed to have PK as their coach. You will not find a better person to lead your young kids and mode them into young adults and not only guide them in basketball but also guide them in the right way on and off the court. PK took that loss hard last night and anytime you lose seniors its difficult to address the kids in the locker room when you know they have played their last game. He runs a first class program and he was already talking about getting back to work for next year. Congrats again BC:thumb:

Can't remember when Bracken County had such a large group of senior athletes(girls and boys) with such good character and representation of the County. Does anyone know if any of the Lady Bears have had college offers to extend their playing time, whether it be in basketball or softball?
