February 24, 201016 yr UK and UL have both shown some interest, but it is still likely that he ends up at UC... Didn't he or isn't he committed to UC?

February 24, 201016 yr He opened things up, but UC is still at the top of his list... Is he the one who transfered from Aiken?
February 24, 201016 yr I talked to his dad about 10 days ago and they haven't decided yet. I know they are considering All Ohio Red and Queen City Prophets which are more national in nature... I was hoping that he was thinking about All-Ohio Red, that is a top notch AAU program. Although they more than likely will not see the same success they have seen in the past couple of years, they will still be very good. Losing Sullinger, Payne, Sibert, Craft, and Gray is a lot of talent loss. But on the 17U's they'll still have Weatherspoon and a host of others, so they'll still be tough. I'm sure though they'd rather keep their number one ranking, but that is something that is hard to do on the AAU circuit. Did his dad say anything about what class he'd be playing in? 15U? or is he going to move up and play 17U? I've heard many good things on Hicks, and if he chooses to play on a competitive summer league team, then it will only make him better. A lot of kids who mature early and get hyped seem to fade in their own basking glory. They go to the AAU camps and try to put up 50 a game, with no interest at all at working at their game. Hicks doesn't seem like that type of kid, and if hes not then from everything I've heard, could very well be top 15 talent by the time he is a senior.
February 24, 201016 yr Watch out PP, you're slowly becoming a Cats fan my good buddy......... :thumb: Naw, I can go back to normal after John Wall leaves this year. It's a weird feeling wanting to see a Wildcat excel and the team win. Weird indeed.:idunno::puke::popcorn:
February 24, 201016 yr Did his dad say anything about what class he'd be playing in? 15U? or is he going to move up and play 17U? That's undecided at this point. I'd love to see him at the 16U level as I think it would be best for his development at this point...
February 24, 201016 yr That's undecided at this point. I'd love to see him at the 16U level as I think it would be best for his development at this point... That it would. A lot more competitive then his age/grade of players, but not as much as 17U which would put him against guys who may have already four years experience starting varsity ball.
February 24, 201016 yr Will Hicks play at Shelby Co. or the Martha Layne Collins school? I'm almost sure I recall reading somewhere that his family lives in what will be the Collins district.

February 25, 201016 yr You mean you're not gonna cheer for B. Knight and the Cats next season ??? Naw, sorry. In all actuality if Wall hadn't flirted with the possibility of Duke I never would have been interested in how good he is. I was so ready to hate on him when the season started but he's so talented you can't help but like him....regardless of his jersey. B. Knight has no shot at going to Duke so.....uh.....good luck with that next year.:thumb: Hay PP92,we'll love for you to come over to the good side. GO CATS and REBELS.:dancingpa I am on the good side....WHO YA WITH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
February 25, 201016 yr With Cal, you have to be in about the top 50 of your class for him to give you some love. Therefore, UK won't have very many Kentucky boys on their roster the next few years. Thank the good Lord for that! Keep the top 5 players comin' Cal.
February 25, 201016 yr I'm almost sure I recall reading somewhere that his family lives in what will be the Collins district. Will this be an issue where current Shelby students get to stay at Shelby, or do they have to go to Collins? Would that only affect seniors, which obviously Hicks isn't?
