Is Coach Cal recruiting any kids from KY, are there any good enough to play at UK in the next few years?

Names and schools please.

I doubt it, this is the one problem he had at Memphis was failure to keep Memphis kids, because as he put it he recruited on a national scale. But it's a system that's worked for him. I'm sure if he felt one were good enough he'd go after them, but the talent of Ky High School hoops isn't great.

Jaylen Beckham is definitely on their radar and they are also keeping close tabs on Darryl Hicks...

Beckham is a soph right? What is Hicks?

Beckham is a SOPH at Lex Cath. Hicks is a freshman at Shelby Co...

^I'm a bit unfamiliar with them, but what positions do they play and what are they projected to play in college?

Beckham is a PG and Hicks is a SG/SF. Both will easily be Top 50 in their class guys and have a real shot at both being 5 star guys...

I couldn't believe Hicks was a freshman when I saw him play. Lots of potential to be a great one and I came away very impressed. I look forward to following his high school career and seeing how he progresses.

I love Jaylen Beckham and I look forward to watching him play whenever I get the chance.

While I am not a UK fan, I could easily root for UK if they both played for the Cats. Either way it goes, I'll be rooting for both of these young men wherever they end up.

Both of these kids are very impressive and look to have an opportunity to represent the state well.

Hicks' game is just insanely mature for a freshman. Very little wasted motion or dribbling with no purpose. I can't wait to watch him in AAU ball this spring...

This will really tell us a lot. Who is Hicks playing his AAU ball with, ICE?

Or is he going out of state to one of the more premiere teams?

I talked to his dad about 10 days ago and they haven't decided yet. I know they are considering All Ohio Red and Queen City Prophets which are more national in nature...

I think the kid from Bowling Green is the best prospect in the state.

Gametime, is UK interested?

With Cal, you have to be in about the top 50 of your class for him to give you some love.

Therefore, UK won't have very many Kentucky boys on their roster the next few years.

UK and UL have both shown some interest, but it is still likely that he ends up at UC...
