February 23, 201016 yr He will be a big pickup for anyone. He has a lot left in the tank. The Chargers would've never pulled off as many wins at the end of the season without him the past two years.
February 23, 201016 yr This guy is a quiet warrior, Chargers have played as many games as anyone over the last 9 years and he has carried much of that load, pure class and a tough player, he will go out after at least one or two more good years.
February 23, 201016 yr Wonder if the Steelers or Pats would have any intrest? Pats have made a living on guys like him.
February 23, 201016 yr At this point I think Foster is the #1 guy in Houston, he had a nice stretch run. I think Slaton will have a shot at getting back his #1 spot. I don't think Houston is particulary enamored with either of these guys. Slaton, Brown, Moats, Foster were all rotated and given their shots. Foster had two solid games to finish the season, but hadn't even rushed the ball prior to those games. I think they've lost all confidence in Slaton because of his fumbling - Lord knows I did in FFL! :ohbrother:I wouldn't be surprised if they went out and grabbed Tomlinson or some other vet to be their #1.

Whether its the Steelers, Pats or someone else, it seems like a contender would be most interested in LT. Preferably, IMO, a team that could use a quality addition to their backfield, but also has someone in place who could split the load. Philadelphia makes a lot of sense to me. Westbrook looks to be done. LT would be a nice addition to put with McCoy.

I traded Slaton for Steven Jackson straight up before he took a full nose dive. Best trade I made all season.
February 23, 201016 yr I was thinking last night...what about Green Bay? Ryan Grant had a pretty strong season and is young. I couldn't imagine they'd be in the market for LT. Seattle is a team that could stand to improve their rushing attack. And QB position. And WR's. Their defense also sucks.
February 23, 201016 yr Seattle is a team that could stand to improve their rushing attack. And QB position. And WR's. Their defense also sucks. It wasn't that long ago they were in the Super Bowl, was it? Seattle needs to improve their rushing attack, yes... But they need to do so with a guy they can put their future on, IMO. I don't think they'd accomplish a lot by signing LT -- Especially since he wants to go to a (potential) winner.
February 23, 201016 yr Author Ryan Grant had a pretty strong season and is young. I couldn't imagine they'd be in the market for LT. Seattle is a team that could stand to improve their rushing attack. And QB position. And WR's. Their defense also sucks. He's not going to a team with absolutely no shot to win a championship. Who else does GB have besides Grant? Nearly every team has a 2 headed rushing attack anymore, why would they not be interested with just Grant and Ahman Green who's like 55 by now.
February 23, 201016 yr This is the saddest part about the NFL. No matter what you do for a team, when it's your time to go they just tell you to take a hike. There is no loyalty. I see why it's necessary for teams to be like that, but it doesn't mean that I have to like it. LT was a huge part in the Chargers becoming relevant again, I would have liked to see both sides come to realistic terms where he could finish his career as a backup.

I see NE in his future, I think that is where RB go to die... I mean retire.
February 24, 201016 yr LT seems like a NE kind of guy to me.Although it is professional sports, I wonder if New England is over the comments LT made about them a couple years ago?
