Goodell: NFL would consider ban on 3-point stance

Featured Replies

Pardon me sir, please don't hit my QB too hard.

Why my good man I wouldn't dream of it. Just a light two-hand touch will do.

If they keep on this path, before you know it, even touching a person will be a 15-yard penalty and a $10,000 fine. Ridiculous...

Referee: Personal Foul - Touching the Quarterback without permission to do so. 15-yard penalty, first down!

"Excuse me sir, but could you please step out of the way so my runningback can kindly pass?" :bunny::bunny::bunny:

Sounds like someone has been taking lessons from a certain commissioner from another league.

Every player should be covered in bubble rap and pillows outside of their pads...

^Why stop there?

Before you know it, the NFL will be worried about the Players actually hurting themselves!

Soon Roger Goodell will implement a policy that requires all players to wear straight jackets during games and workout their problems with the opposing players through through talk and expressing their feelings about one another, followed by a nice quality sit down watching "Mr. Rogers Neighborhood".

Some day it's going to turn into 22 guys sitting in easy chairs and discussing what they would do were they to actually be playing a game of "football".

"Once I got to 3rd and short, I would tack a quick drop-back as if to pass, and then hand off in a draw play to my tailback."

"But I would anticipate your draw play, and then I would shed my blocker and tackle your tailback at the line of scrimmage."

"Ahhh, well played. I would be forced to punt in that situation. However, on the punt play, my gunner would run down the field and hit your punt returner just as he catches the ball...causing him to fumble. Then my team will be afforded the opportunity to recover the fumble and take over on offense once again."

If there is enough data showing that linemen are suffering from concussions at a higher rate than non-linemen then the consideration is valid.

However, I've not heard of many concussions by linemen.

I wish you all could have heard Decon Jones lol. He said when he went after a QB his mentality was to kill a butterfly with an axe!

I am not sure it as much concussions as it is the long term effects. Kyle Turley is the guy that brought up this idea a couple weeks ago. I liken it to being a boxer taking shot after shot to the head. I am not saying I agree with this proposal, but it is not as stupid as many make it out to be.

Actually, I think it's already been done...isn't that Strat-o-matic Football?!?!

Goodell needs to go.

Because of a potential safety proposal?
