I hear he has a tremendous upside but when i saw him play against holmes he turned the ball over and took some poor shots.

I would have to say that hearing scoring threats Blake Bryan be added somewhere in that list. Hatton shouldn't be in there and Foster should be at least top 10. Jolly should be moved down and I would have to make an arguement for Pohlgeers.

As I stated in the NC/CCH game thread I'm a big fan of Geisler. I wasn't arguing who was better. I was simply questioning your original logic.

 

I'd take either and both will be POY candidates next year.

I've not seen him play but I can't imagine an eighth grader being the #11 player in NKY with all the freshman - senior talent that NKY has.

 

From what I hear he is a very good player and has a ton of potential, but this thread is titled "Top 5 Players in NKY" . You are saying that Dixie has two of the top 11 players in NKY. You sure?

 

 

He is a very good player but i agree with af veteran on this one the number two team in nky has no players listed in top 10 and he is not has good as Mcdaniels,Foster,Luther, and maybe a couple others on the newport team.IMO

I agree that Montgomery from Boone is this the type of player that I consider a fine all-around player and will be way up on this list next year. Usually defends the other team's best scorer, rebounds, steals, scores. Still defers somewhat to the high maintenence seniors on the "rebel" roster. I think he is their best player.

 

As a Rebel fan I agree with the above post. I sometimes think that he needs to be a bit more 'selfish' when he is on the court. I believe he does defer to the seniors on the team. That's a very good point. :ylsuper:

I think he has DI talent that shows during the AAU leagues more so than the motion offense that Boone runs. I'd think he would fit in well with a MAC type school: Miami, Ohio, Ball State, etc.. Isn't your Junior year when most of the recruiting takes place?

I can tell you from watching several Dixie games that none of those stats are accurate as far as assists, rebounds etc. I am not sure who takes care of that for Dixie but they are doing a poor job of it.

I think a few of Boone's players have had better success in AAU ball and in a more up-tempo style, and that's where a lot of the college interest comes from in Boone's players that are being recruited.

Id like to see where Trammel would be this far in the season. I got to watch him play agianst SK and he had 24 i think. If hes doin that with a bad back, how good is he healthy? Sad to see a player go down for a whole season especially one of this caliber. :cry:

Thelen and Smith are not two of the 5 top players IMO.

Some very solid players on your list. But one of the most solid performers this year has been Ben Watson of Highlands. I haven't seen the stats but I wouldn't be suprised if he's close to averaging a double/double. Also he's been very consistant at the free throw line. He should definetly be in the top 10 based on performance to date.

To be a "top college prospect" today, you had better have the grades and the SAT and or ACT scores to boot! Do all the above have the academics to be College players?

I personally wouldnt have Andy Earls in my top 10. He is a nice player, but top 10 in NKY is a slight stretch in my opinion. And, i think that if you mention Jake Geisler you have to mention Bobby Stauffer. And, Jake Thelen should be mention if Geisler and Stauffer are. He can score.
