January 13, 201016 yr You guys know it is never to early to figure out what to do for your love on this day so throw some of the things you've done in the past out for others to consider. BTW, it is complete coincidence that I am starting this thread right after the thread where the wife electricuted her hubby.
January 19, 201016 yr Not a guy but from a gal's perspective a few suggestions: 1. Plan a weekend trip somewhere close, even if it's only an hour or two away. Call ahead to the hotel and have your dinner waiting in the room, along with flowers and dessert. 2. Take your loved one out for a day at the spa. Treat each other to couples massages. 3. You can never go wrong on Valentine's Day with her favorite flowers and chocolate. 4. Serve breakfast in bed. Use cookie cutters and make heart shaped pancakes or heart shaped toast. 5. A nice card with tickets inside to a concert or any event that you know that both of you could enjoy together.

I would have worried if a man had responded with this. What happended to; 1. Order Pizza 2. Buy cheap lingere,(It shouldn't be on long enough to warrant expensive) 3. Get some Beer 4. Rent a movie Have a great night!
January 19, 201016 yr Wow - Make the person you want to be with happy. It doesn't have to be expensive.
January 19, 201016 yr Drove by the White Castle on the Outer Loop in Okolona this evening and their sign indicated they were taking Valentines Day reservations. PROBLEM SOLVED

January 19, 201016 yr New movie coming out called Valentines Day.....lots of big time actors and actresses in it. Women love that, mark it down!
January 19, 201016 yr I actually have a fiancee that is extremely down to earth. She thinks Valentines Day is stupid. Basically I take her out to eat at her favorite restaurant and she takes me to a movie. It seems to work for us.
January 19, 201016 yr One of the keys to remaining married for 31 years was learning pretty early in the process that: a) There's no such thing as too much jewelry, and b) Jewelry that's not big enough to notice is not big enough
January 19, 201016 yr Burn a CD of a song she likes, put it in her car cd player, and when she starts up the car, she hears it, and then head to White Castle, extra fries please
January 19, 201016 yr Kygirl and mcpapa have the best suggestions. The CD/White Castle thing is fun for high school/college students, or if you and your date have a special memory involving White Castle. Just make sure she actually likes White Castle. For anyone on a limited budjet (and who isnt?), cooking a romantic dinner at home (tablecloth and all) and a movie rented is also very nice. I like Valentine's day because it makes you stop and think about your loved ones. Now, Sweetest day, is a made up stupid "holiday".
