Wind

Featured Replies

The wind here in Winchester is terrible. Windows are rattling. Anyone else experiencing this?

I slipped out for lunch and thought my truck was going to blow off the road. Crazy wind!

I'm hoping when I get home there's not a tree in my house!

I know what you mean. We have around 9 huge trees in our front yard and one in the back. Our son moved his truck down the street...mine is still in driveway, as close to the house as I could get. 2 car garage and can't get my car in...:irked: Full of things in remodeling the baths.

It's bad in Frankfort too. Trash cans blowing around in the street, one neighbor has a small tree down. Some flashing and siding coming off some houses. My neighbor's gutter has blown off. My Christmas reindeer are now lying down.

Hope everyone stays safe. Now we get the cold front.:irked:

I just got in from chasing my heavy duty garbage roller down the street here in Ashland!

I think it's pretty much the whole state today. Did you guys (and gals) see the radar from the storm that went through yesterday? It dwarfed Kentucky and all the surrounding states. It was kind of crazy to look at, honestly.

It is roaring in Hoptown, has been all morning. Of course, today would have to be trash day!

Windy here too! Just took a ride on my broom!:lol::lol:

Wild winds here in the Louisville area also.

4th and Broadway in Louisville, which is windy on a "normal" day is unblievable! Can't stand on the corner waiting to cross the street...you'll literally be blown out into the oncoming traffic!:scared:

It seems like every downed leaf in the neighborhood has been deposited in front of my apartment door. The swirling has been so extreme in front that when I look at it out of the corner of my eye, it looks like birds swarming outside my windows.

It was so bad that it messed up the power line going to our building, and I've been without power to half of my apartment for much of the morning and early afternoon.

And, the changing weather conditions seem to have enabled my sinus problems to return with a vengeance.

At NKU it is awful.

Try walking around UK's campus. I thought I was going to start flying away at any minute.

It was bad early this morning, and it is still breezy but not as bad. Last night it was warm, but I would guess the temperature is around the mid 30s now.
