The Jersey Shore

Featured Replies

The state of New Jersey has caught a lot of criticism since this show started. I do not get the impression the North Easterners care much for the Jersey Shore.

None of the cast is even from New Jersey are they? I know a few of them live in New York.

I must be getting old because after watching 10 minutes of the show I felt like I just wasted 10 minutes of my life and wanted a refund.

I didn't think TV could continue to decline further on the "stupid" meter but , alas, I was wrong.

Prior to visiting the Garden state I thought all of Jersey was like this when, in reality, its only a small portion of the state. When you get out of the greater Philly/Newark area its a beautiful state filled with normal Joes.

I believe Sammi is from New Jersey. Pauly D is from Rhode Island and I believe the rest are from NY.

Agreed. Jersey Shore is as bad as it gets. Though I am a guilty addict of bad MTV reality shows. Always have been.

I really enjoyed New Jersey when I visited.

I heard they are doing a 3rd season (back in Jersey) but I think it might be tough. By the end of 2 all of the girls will have fought with each other and the guys might get old. Will stick around for the fireworks of season 2 though.

After viewing the first episode, which one of the guys is the "cokehead" that was reported during the filming? I'm going with Ronnie.

^ I think it is Mike. I am watching the 1st episode right now.

These people remind me of what it was like to just drink until you either did/said something you regretted later or just passed out.

Gotta be Ronnie. He'd be my first guess. Can't keep Sammi and obnoxious behavior.

The show got its name from the fact that they stayed at the Jersey Shore in season 1. As was said earlier, most aren't from New Jersey and shouldn't be a representation of New Jersey at all. I enjoyed New Jersey when I was there also.

I could hang with Pauly D. He seems the most normal. I would hang with the rest for pure unintentional comedy. I love the show. Not the people. Also as was said earlier, MTV expanded on the Real World format and made a Real World with no rules and Italian American stereotypes. I can hear Italian Americans all across America saying this show sets them back 20 years.

He did party pretty hard in the first episode. Also that stone cold demeanor was kind of coke like. :D

Ronnie reminds me of Joey from the unREal World.

I'm guessing it's JWoww. It was never clarified guy or girl.
