December 7, 200916 yr Author Careful there....but in reality he is likely nowhere close to as intelligent as JWill. Careful where? I was in no way try to make fun of the awful accident he had, but you have to admit that it was a stupid decision on his part.
December 7, 200916 yr ^ Not saying you were making fun of him...I always joke about giving out Karma.
December 7, 200916 yr Very....national POY Freshman - 14.5 ppg, 6.5 apg, 4.2 rpg, 2.4 spg Sophomore - 21.6 ppg, 6.1 apg, 3.3 rpg, 2.0 spg Junior (graduated) - 21.3 ppg, 5.3 apg, 3.5 rpg, 2.2 spg Wall will very likely eclipse those numbers. Frosh year - 18.1 points, 7.7 assists, 4.1 rebounds, 2.6 steals and almost a block per game (.7 bpg). Shooting 54.8% from the field, 31.3% from beyond the arc and 79.2% from the charity stripe. His biggest downside is 4.4 turnovers per game, which is too high.

The year isn't over yet my friend.....also, he's going to be there one year, not three.......he is not the greatest ever, or even the best that I have ever seen.
December 7, 200916 yr John Wall possesses a combination of rare athletic ability, basketball IQ, and unselfishness that I have not ever seen on the college level. He is: Long Quick Fast Smart Unselfish A good shooter Coachable A good teammate A pleasure to watch play A Godsend to the University of Kentucky, even if it is for just one year. You forgot the most important thing, he is a Leader.
December 7, 200916 yr I don't know about you, but I know quite a few 18 and 19 year olds that have knee problems. The kids are still growing. To the point to where you can barely walk and can't play basketball? Those must be some awful growing pains, I remember growing pains but I don't ever remember having them to the point to where I couldn't walk.
December 7, 200916 yr The only thing I know for sure, is that Wall is the best freshman PG I have seen in years. I agree with RP that to be a true 'college legend', .. you need to stay more than one season.
December 7, 200916 yr No he can't....he'd have to stay more than one year. This is not true, just your opinion. If you are the best, you are the best. 1,2 3 years whatever. To say it has to be more than 1 year is something that is just in "your" head. Biased I'm sure.
December 7, 200916 yr He's the best point gaurd college athlete this year, and for the moment, that's good enough for me.
December 7, 200916 yr The year isn't over yet my friend.....also, he's going to be there one year, not three.......he is not the greatest ever, or even the best that I have ever seen. I did not say he's the greatest ever. He may be one of the best athletes to play the position, though. And he's sure looked great for a freshman. Who is the greatest you've ever seen? Have you watched Wall much? At all? He dominated against UNC, but they have fairly young guards too.

Who is the greatest you've ever seen? Have you watched Wall much? At all? He dominated against UNC, but they have fairly young guards too. Roy Williams' comments said a lot 'He is the best point guard I have seen coming out of high school since Jason Kidd'. I always cringe when a sportswriters says the 'best ever', ... especially for an 18 year old kid who is a freshman in college and has played a whopping 7 collegiate games. But he is a special player.
December 7, 200916 yr There's no doubt in my mind that Wall is the best player I've seen at UK... He's an amazing player. Better than expected, and that's quite a statement. I know I keep saying it, but his maturity is amazing, and his feel for the game is something you can't teach, IMO. It's one of the things that separates the great players from the rest. And, Wall has it. He's going to make some NBA team real happy next Spring.
December 7, 200916 yr If you have to stay more than one year to become a legend or the best ever then we might as well not even mention new players in that category for years to come. The best players are going to be one and done. We can start to call all 3 or 4 year starters who stay "Legends"
