John Wall took one dribble from just 35+ feet and slammed the ball left handed against IU. He has my vote for the best athlete at PG now!!! Sorry Oscar. At this point, yes, Jason Williams was a better point guard. All you have to do is look at the turnovers. Like RP, I expect that to change by the end of the year, but as of today-12-13-09, Jason Williams was a better point guard than wall, but Wall is the superior athlete.

December 14, 200916 yr I cannot proclaim Wall as the best point guard ever, but I have never seen a better athlete play the position. 6'4'', lightning quick and can jump very, very well. That's a deadly combination.

That being said, he is the best athlete I have seen at the point guard position. My Duke bias makes me say Jason Williams was a better point guard, but Wall is a superior athlete. Thanks for the correction...I wasn't making that distinction in my mind. There's no doubt that Wall is superior athletically to guys like Williams, Paul, et al.

December 15, 200916 yr The year isn't over yet my friend.....also, he's going to be there one year, not three.......he is not the greatest ever, or even the best that I have ever seen. The thread is best pg athlete. Not necessarily the best PG ever. Hes as athletic and explosive as any PG Ive ever seen. To this point hes exceeded expectations IMO. He won't be the best PG ever to play college ball because he will only be there one year, but athletically hes up there.

December 16, 200916 yr I think the word Athlete is the key word here. I think the author means he has more size, speed, athletism than any other point guard ever... I believe that Wall is one of the 3 fastest players I have ever seen with the ball in his hands...Jason Kidd was incredible...I can't name anyone else at this time... Allen Iverson... Montay Ellis..... Those are the 2 fsatest EVER with a basketball.. LeBron is quick with it too...
