November 30, 200916 yr Does his boy play for T? If so tough week for him. Starting QB. I was kind of wondering myself how this might affect his play in the 6A title game.
November 30, 200916 yr U of L was able to bring in several good players who were being recruited by Miami, Florida State, and Florida. The reason some of these players came to U of L was because they could take academic non-qualifiers at that time, and those schools could not. They are now restricted to take non-qualifiers in the Big East and thus, the Florida/Alabama pipeline has dried up. That is not on Coach Krag. Very good point...dont forget Jurich turned his head on a lot of those players...and somewhere along the way that changed and it cost Kragthorpe.
November 30, 200916 yr KU-Big 12 (second toughest conference)/basketball school. UVA- as mentioned, admissions, not much tradition, recruiting. It pays about the same as UofL. I wouldn't say UofL is more attractive than UVA, they are pretty equal. I just said it's not more attractive than UofL. Im not sure how much different it is to recruit to UVA than say UNC or Duke. VA does produce a fair amount of talent...their are a couple of areas that produce quite a bit of skilled players. VA produces enough, but they are battling VPI for these kids. I expect UVA to look at Richmond's coach or the fellow at Temple, who was at UVA and has done a great job at Temple.
November 30, 200916 yr How can Louisville fans say they wanted Kragthorpe to stay but since Jurich let him go, it must be the right decision? Jurich obviously didn't make the right decision the first time. What makes you think he will this time?

Jurich obviously didn't make the right decision the first time. What makes you think he will this time? What do you mean the first time. The first time for Jurich was John L Smith. That turned out to be a great hire. The second was Petrino, another fantastic hire. The third, Kragthopre=horrible hire. He's 2 for 3 right now. And, he's made great hires in other sports. I have full confidence that he'll make a good hire.

Most Louisville fans I know labeled John L an underachiever. There were an awful lot of complaints about the way Petrino ran his program. It may have been a great football hire but definitely not a great program hire. Kragthorpe, terrible.

It may have been a great football hire but definitely not a great program hire. Kragthorpe, terrible. Whoever called John L an underachiever at UofL must of been a bandwagon fan. They were really bad when he took over. He was an unknown name, and brought a lot of excitement to the program. People didn't complain about Petrino until he left. A lot of hurt feelings IMO. He has never been found wrong of any wrongdoings at UofL. Most just want to get mad because he was using the school as a springboard. I'd take him back tomorrow. Kragthorpe=joke.

While I don't know...and none of us will until gametime Saturday night.....He has been living with this for the entire season....once the game starts it shouldn't matter.

Most of the ones wanting him to stay are Trinity supporters and don't want to lose their qb until he graduates next year.
November 30, 200916 yr Being serious about this...He seems like a really good guy. I wish the best to him and his family. I know it has had to have been very tough over the last couple years. I am sure he will do well wherever he goes from here. It was also pretty neat to see all the nice things his players had to say about him as well. But unfortunately winning on most levels is way more important than being a good man and or having character.
November 30, 200916 yr Coach (former) K was to have a press conference earlier this afternoon. Anything newsworthy come out of it? Thanks.

November 30, 200916 yr Coach (former) K was to have a press conference earlier this afternoon. Anything newsworthy come out of it? Thanks. Said he didn't win enough games to keep his job. Said he had been offered three jobs already. Also said he's moving back to Tulsa very shortly.
December 1, 200916 yr Said he didn't win enough games to keep his job. Said he had been offered three jobs already. Also said he's moving back to Tulsa very shortly. Yeah he said one BCS team offensive coordinator job I want to know who? I know he'll coach again soon, but I'm think another C-USA or MAC school.
