I agree, IMO it depends on what UK teams show up.

There are going to be a lot of SEC teams with 6+ wins

 

The SEC has 9 bowl tie-ins (which is ludicrous by the way), and they could get 10 if two SEC teams made the BCS, which is very likely at this point. Vanderbilt cannot be eligible, so UK has to beat out no more than 2, and maybe no more than 1 of the other teams.

 

Mississippi State has to win 2 of their final three games. They're not going to beat Alabama, so that means they need to sweep Arkansas and Ole Miss. I don't see it. So that'd be the one right there. I really think the SEC is going to have 10 bowl teams.

O-line was awesome in the 2nd half. Cobb is a warrior. Locke had like 140 yards rushing. The Defense stepped up in the 2nd half too. UK needs to let Newton stay at QB unless they are desperate for a spark and are in trouble. At least Newton can catch a pass and he can run.

GO CATS... Big win... If they can just beat UT or UG it would go from a good season to a great season!

I we win both and I'm in Atlanta for New Year's Eve. I don't think the Outback is in play because South Carolina beat us.

If UK doesn't win again they won't be in Liberty, Liberty would rather have Ole Miss or Arkansas because of the proximity of the two schools to the city.

I don't see how UK can beat anybody with a half decent team. Our play calling is so predictable and we never throw the ball vertically. Yes, 300 yds rushing was great, but I don't believe we will do that against Georgia or UT. Then what do we do????? I don't understand playing Newton and not letting him throw the ball down the field and really testing him this year and be ready for next year. I think joker is way to conservative!!!!!!!

Amen ! Kentucky plays pretty well down between the hedges and I think we're more focused on the road.

 

Tennessee after the arrest may be reeling. Our strength is running the ball and Ole Miss ran for a ton. There RB had between 200 & 300. Don't forget about the little brawl that was supposedly swept under the rug between some UK & UT football players earlier in the year.

 

Plus another healthy week for Micah & Lindley. I think Cobb will be okay.

You people crack me up, both the Dawgs/Vols are down and you haven't been blown out except one game and you already are counting on losing the next two, well I hope I made a point and some of you mad, get behind your team.

This was a must win for the Cats and they came thru. UK has a shot to run the table and end up 8-4. UGA on the road where they have won in the not too distant past and UT at home on Sr Night. I was impressed with the running game and hope they leave Newton at QB and stop the rotating QB nonsense. They quit rotating in the 2nd half and were much more effective. Newton is showing poise and made some key throws when they needed them. What about hurdling the VU defender. If we have a healthy Cobb and Locke, UK could end up 3rd in the East if the cards fall just right.

 

On a side note, UK missed the boat on Cole. While UK shut him out in the first half, he had a very good game and his TD catch was sweet!

So how is Shreveport in December?

This was a much game for the Cats and they got it,to get that all important sixth win.Lets don't stop at six,number 7 would be big,and I think UK can get it at Georgia,but UK need both Cobb and Locke healthy and on the field to have a chance.

Back to today's game,that was about as good a running game from the Cats that I have seen in a long time.:dancingpa

Defense in the 2nd half was HUGE. Only 1 Vandy first down the entire 2nd half and not sure they really got closer than 2-3 yards from getting another first during the final 30 minutes. Sam Maxwell has really developed into a fine linebacker. I was also surprised to see Micah run down that RB on the pass play.

UK doesn't know how it wants to play. I love this team and think they have a lot of talent, it's just getting them to use it. Play calling is questionable at times but players play and that is what UK needs to do against UGA, just play!
