One kid carried the ball 50 times? Wow.

Unofficial stats had Buckler with 220 yards rushing, 4 TD's, 2 2pt conversion runs, one cracked helmet that split at the earhole. He ran possessed is the report I got from a buddy at the game. If this kid isn't All State material its a travesty.

 

Oh one other caveat, he broke the career rushing record at Bellevue surpassing the legendary Mike Sutkamp and pushing his total to over 5100 yards.

How did they get the other point?

2. Frankfort fans! You got to be kidding me. What a joke.

 

We met some real nice Frankfort fans. Unfortunately we met some complete idiots as well.

Congrats to Bellevue on the win. I am surprised it was this close though. However a win in the playoffs is all that matters. Next weeks game should be a battle between them and Beechwood. But as I said before after their first game, I expect Beechwood to win by 3 td's if the weather is good.

A real shame ... what could a healthy Frankfort had done this season?

I would assume an xtra point kick after the opening TD. The xtra point attempt after Buckler's second TD was missed. Then they went for 2 the next two scores.

 

Buckler carred the ball 49 times in a game earlier in the season also.

 

The Frankford fans were outnumbered by the Bellevue fans also from what I heard.

I had only positive experiences with the Frankfort fans. They did section off part of the home bleachers for Bellevue. Thanks!!! We needed the space as ther Tigers fans did come out in full force. No repeat of the Brossart incident this time.

 

:popcorn:Glad to see the Tigers win. A real intense football game with lots of shifts in momentum. Bellevue converted more mistakes than Frankfort did. Defense really picked it up after the second Frankfort drive. They started to show the desire. Offensively, the Buckler kid carried the load for sure, but the QB hit some big passes in the second half too. Hegge had an amazing catch over the middle. :popcorn:

 

Thought it was going to get real ugly at the end. :scared:That is the way to keep your poise Tigers.

 

Now, get serious about beating :puke:Beechwood!

Congrats to FHS on a fine season. I think they won all the games they were supposed to this year, but did not have the horses to beat teams that they were matched athletically with. Weights and commitment in the off season will go a long way for beating the other teams they lost to. Good luck to both teams in the future.

As for tonights game it was lost in the winter, by not getting in the weight room like they should. Some of those guys who think they can play basketball need to look in the mirror. They can't play dead in a cowboy movie.

That right there is why they will get beat next week. Way way to one dimensional. They are going to have to get other people involved to have a chance against Beechwood.

Buckler carried it 50 times tonight for 220. Someone in Bellevue needs to get that kid to the Spa tomorrow! I heard his ear got cut when his helmet split. Kudos to the Tigers.

 

The second to last regular season game against Beechwood he carried it 37 times. In the season finale against Lloyd it was 49. I am not sure of last week, but may be 27. Now 50 tonight,wow. They got him, or he got, the records but at what cost? Can a young athlete who hardly ever leaves, if ever, the field keep this going?
