  1. Don't worry I won't quit my day job but maybe you should. lol I am comparing Elliot to Simpson at age 15. We can touch on that in two years if you like. Travis Elliot will play as hard as he did on the last play as he did on the first, no matter what the score. Not all stand out players do that. As far as Male, name a public High School that doesn't have its ups and downs besides Highlands. If you are a 6A football team in the state of Kentucky (Not T or X) you better learn how to beat teams that are historically stronger than you if your goal is to win a state championship. This season I think SK very well could be state champs if they prepared themselves better. No matter what anybody says (unless you are just playing for record) 6A football teams will not get better by playing middle of the road 2A and 3A Schools. Someone was also criticizing Cov Cath for playing tough Cincy Teams, Sure they lost alot of those games but they have also won state championships along the way. Your players or staff doesn't get better by playing bad teams. I myself am glad about Coach Warners decision it is good for the program and huge for the kids. I am not a college recruiter but I would probably get a better idea about how good a player is by scouting him playing Colerain rather than scouting him playing non playoff teams. Its been fun Guru peace out
  2. Travis Elliot is more than a nice running back. I would really like for someone to show me another sophmore who played the schedule Ryle has and has similar stats to Travis. IMO having over 2,200 yds before your 16th birthday is flat out impressive. Especially on a team that has had a 1500 yd passer both seasons.I am not trying to take anything away from Simpson but I don't think his stats were that good after his sophmore season. I would like go back in time a few years to 2006. Louisville Male was ranked in the top 10 nationally by max preps(before Trinity beat them in KHSAA playoffs) and have been a national ranked school with big time D-1 players for years prior also. SK was a little known football school with little or no playoff experience. In fact the only reason other schools may have heard of them is because of a basketball state championship they won in 1981. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND would think that just 2 short years after SK would beat them in the state semis. Anything can happen under the lights! As far as Ryle getting beat a zillion to 7 or getting their brains beat in. You will have to buy a ticket to see it Guru, because after your comments you will have your name taken off the pass list for that game. lol
  3. Ryle : Tyler Madlom '06 Army Vince Murray '07 Navy Scott Grey '07 Marshall Jared Kaufman '08 WKU
  4. 1. Highlands 2. Ryle 3. Cov Cath 4. Simon Kenton 5. NCC 6. Beechwood 7. Campbell County 8. Dixie 9. Boone County 10.Cooper
  5. I think Campbell County will have a nice team next year. It would not surprise me one bit if they took the 3 seed in NKY.
  6. I was at the game. I personally did not hear "The Preacher" (Who is one of the greatest people I have ever met) say anything of that nature. But what I did hear was the HHS 70 plus crowd mocking Ryle 's coaches calling "Punt team up" MAKING SPORT OF A HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM PUNTING. Judging by the time the last post was made by the accusers they were probably the same classy people mocking the coaches for punting. If I remember Highlands punted a few times tonight also. There alot of men and young men in Union KY and wherever his ministry takes him that love him. The world is a better place because of " The Preacher". Preacher do not let a bunch of 70 year old teenagers spoil your passion because WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!
  7. Coach Teegarden is a great football coach and he is also a great catfish noodler. Congrats to Lee, Dave, Scotty and the wildcats
  8. Great post a lot of people think that the only thing that makes someone a good coach is that they win a state championship.
  9. I am saying in my opinion Stephen Lickert from Holmes is a great coach. That's it!
  10. IMO a great coach is a person who takes a program that does not get the creme of the crop talent and makes them winners. A good coach is a person who coaches hard, has good talent (in some cases overwhelming talent) and never beats anybody better than his team but still wins state championships. A bad coach is someone who has great talent, practices softly, does not push weight lifting in off season and most impotantly loses games he should win again and again. Stephen Lickert is the only coach mentioned that would get my vote.
  11. Great win for PC. So far Teegarden has my vote for Coach of the Year
  12. The Lions senior team went the year before last also. There is still talent in Erlanger. For some reason they don't want to all stay at Lloyd. This happened in the mid eighties before Tassini arrived. The Lloyd administration thinks that as long as you make the 2A playoffs its OK. Even when players don't that don't dress for practice for entire season still play on friday nights. Rudy Tassini's predecessor was fired for not winning distict championship 2 years in a row with arguably Lloyd's most talented teams. Where is that type of accountability????Sorry I'm rambling I could go on for days on this subject but its not worth the Hunting and Pecking. GO LIONS!!!!!!!!!
  13. According to there staff the lions coaches need to be replaced. Didnt you know that all Lloyd's problems are a direct result of the peewee program. All you have to do is ask them.
  14. Congrats to Lee, Dave, Scotty and company. Keep workin' em hard
