The second to last regular season game against Beechwood he carried it 37 times. In the season finale against Lloyd it was 49. I am not sure of last week, but may be 27. Now 50 tonight,wow. They got him, or he got, the records but at what cost? Can a young athlete who hardly ever leaves, if ever, the field keep this going?

Knowing Ricky Buckler the way I do he would be the first to say that these are all team records. If you knew him you would know he would carry the ball 100 times if it meant the team would get a victory. He would also be happy with no carries as long as the team won the game. The boy is 17 years old in perfect health I don't really see what the big deal is if he's not hurt. As far as your comment on they got him or he got the record referring to the amount of carries he has the previous record holder had a lot more caries then Ricky has.

Sounds like the excuses are coming all ready! Just take the loss and move on. Don't start blaming the fans and kids now that the season is over. All we heard all season is how this kid is injured and this other kid is injured. Now, once you get beat in the playoffs, now the blame goes from the injuries and too the parents and kids not turning in homework. Sounds to me like the coaches cant win when needed. Stop complaining.

 

Footballhd you sound like an upset parent of a player who plays for a very good football program but your kid sits the bench a lot...get out of here with that non-sense. I will defend CoachB and whoever when I say; CoachB never makes excuses on how things went, he just tells it hows it is.

Well obviously your opinion has been very rude about CoachB and staff...but hey it is what it is. :idunno:

Just seems to me like they blamed injuries (which happend) during the season. Then when they lose in the 2nd round (injuries are not blamed, its the parents and players not doing what they are supposed to). I just think it is making excuses. Not being rude, just making an observation.

Not blaming anyone for the loss. Having 5 turnovers and lack of depth is the reason FHS lost. Bellevue was able to wear down the Panthers.

 

Point I am making is it is more than X's and O's. Other things have to be done to take this program to the next level. It takes more involvment than second guessing your head coach. Everyone in the community has to be involved.

I don't live anywhere close to Frankfort, but I suspect that Coach Buckett deals with many of the same issues that coaches from other rural, racially-diverse independent districts do. To explain it easier, I'm referring to small-town districts that also have some inner-city aspects to them.

 

I'm not going to go into detail here because I don't want to start a firefight, but I suspect that many of the same things that go on in Mayfield, Fulton and Paducah also occur in Frankfort. Many people in areas not exposed to some of those issues have absolutely no clue as to some of the things coaches have to deal with in terms of off-field issues, and often many of them not pertaining to the players themselves.

gWOW, what a football game by both teams. You all need to let it go both teams played their hearts out and left it on the field. I enjoyed the game and both teams have nothing to be ashamed of. I was impressed by both teams game plan. I was on the fence the whole game. I did not have a dog in the fight. Both teams should have won however, only one team can. All parents and fans should be proud of what they saw. It is easy to cretizise what happened in this game. It went down to the last few seconds in this one. Thanks to Frogy radio station so I could listen to the last 5 minutes in this game and the radio guy's were great. I wished I could have met Coach B

however I did not. The fans from Frankfort were great and friendly. I only wish Frankfort the best in the future. For Bellevue been a pain for me for over
