Greg Oden?

Featured Replies

Has anyone else been keeping up with him this year? What what I've seen he is finally starting play to his potential. He's not there yet, but he's looked very promising this season IMO.

Not a bad start to the season for Greg Oger. He's averaging 9 & 8 on the young season in just 23 minutes played per game.

We will see if he can stay healthy for even 30 or 40 games, then we can talk.

He had 18 and 11 tonight on 8-10 from the field.

Robert Parish's uncle seems to be figuring things out...

If he stays healthy through the season, then we can talk about what is possible for him.

That's what I was going to say.

That's what I was thinking too. For a guy whose every step looks painful, it's kind of hard to be optimistic for long-term success.

I still contend the Greg Oden is actually Granville Waiters. When he was at OSU it was often said they were never in the same room at the same time.

No doubt it's going to come down to his health. I think he looks like he could be an all-time center though. Not a Shaq or Wilt, but maybe like a better Mutumbo with better offensive skills.

I would argue his career is far more likely to emulate Sam Bowie's. Bill Walton's if he's lucky. No way he stays healthy enough throughout his career to have the impact of an all-time great.

 No way he even becomes close to a Mutumbo. And Oden has really poor offensive skills just so you know. He is playing above himself right now and here in about 2 weeks everyone else will see that as well.

I'd rather have K. Durant, and so would Portland at this point.
