I would have to dig them up, but I have both the 88 and 89 CovCath / Highlands games @Colonels_Wear_Blue. I actually have every Highlands game from those two years.

Literally just finished digitizing the 1992 Cov Cath/Moeller film like 7 or 8 minutes ago. I got 6 games from that season from Tevis Gray.

Great work. I'm not a CovCath person but I love watching past games from any school. Keep up the good work. Maybe some of my NewCath boys can get some film on here

I want to see this one. I will never forget listening to Gary Ball call the 4th quarter w/ my Dad in his Dodge Dakota after NewCath's game was over. Made me a CovCath fan for life.

Anyone have the 1988 semi-final game between CovCath and Ashland? It's frequently cited as one of the greatest games ever played at Putnam Stadium. I'd love to see it, as I'm sure many others would too.

I feel like 1992 was the bizzaro world 1997 (mud bowl). Freak awesome Cov Cath team upset by a really good Highlands team, winner won state. That Mud Bowl Highlands team was supposed to be their best ever, and they played Moeller too.

Working on researching if there are any decently straightforward ways to improve on the quality of this and a few others I have from the 92 season. The VHS was in kind of rough shape, as you can see...but it beats nothing.

 

This is the Cov Cath 53-9 victory over Beechwood in 1992. The Moeller game doesn't look too much better.

 

I have 100's of games on tape and I am at the point where I am almost ready to give them all away.

They are taking up a lot of room.

Paintsville vs. Beechwood in the 1978 state 1A semifinals.

 

Bernie Barre in his 4th year as head coach at Beechwood. His legendary successor Mike Yeagle was playing QB for Beechwood, and Bailie Morlidge was at running back. Morlidge went on to play at Miami (OH).

 

Walter Brugh was coaching for Paintsville. He went to Paintsville himself ad played football for the Tigers in the 1940s, and was head coach from 1956-1994, at which point he retired as the winningest football coach in Kentucky with a record of 280-136-5. Coach Brugh is still at the #15 spot on the all-time wins list.

 

Asking a lot here but is there any video of Pineville’s 8-6 win over Paintsville in the 1977 playoffs, a game the Mountain Lions won without recording a single first down.

It might not be a full game film, but here are about 10 minutes of highlights from the 2006 playoff game between Covington Catholic and Lexington Catholic. Cov Cath had 720 yards of offense in the game, and Lex Cath had something like 500 yards of offense. CRAZY action in that game.
