Pioneers roll 42-14. Haven't heard or seen much about Manuel, but something just seems special about SK this year. Thinking they get to the quarter finals against ST. X and give them everything they want and then some!

It's ManUAL, let's get it right.

I think what will help SK is that there defense is based upon attacking gaps and not reading first.

 

 

Manual runs 4-4(4-3) similar to Boone, Campbell, and Conner.

I'm still thinking SK by 21, howver I could possibly see a 49-35 score, still in SK's favor.

I also picked Simon Kenton to beat Manual, but at most I do not think the margin will be over 10-14 points. I am amazed at how little respect they are being given. This Crimson team only lost to Highlands 19-8 and St. X. 28-21.

 

My major concern with Manual is how they do traveling to NKY. The only time they traveled outside of Jefferson County was early this season, and they were sent home with their tails tucked between their legs with a 42-0 spanking by Colerain.

 

If the Crimsons handle the road trip okay, I would not be totally astonished if they upset Simon Kenton.

I think the key is Simon Kenton's O-line. They will have to come up big in this one.

Exactly. NKY football is pretty good and SK has their best team ever. Conner is not a juggernaut this year (although West is a very good hs qb) and they nicked Manual for 39. SK is a lot better than Conner and Miles seems to be a pretty good tailback.

If the Manual that showed up to play X a few weeks ago shows up this Friday, I say this is a straight up 50/50 football game (and no, I am not trying to disrespect SK). In fact, one could argue that 2 of the top 5 teams in the state in 6A are meeting in round 2!

Plus SK will get the film of Conner/Manual to see what holes exist in their D.

 

 

Plus I think this will only be the 3rd time that Manual's offense will go up against an odd man defensive front, the 2 previous were HHS and Colerain.
