November 1, 200916 yr Author "To come out and play the way we did - to not even show up - is very discouraging and disappointing. We played with no emotion. I do not know what to say. We did not play well across the board. I wish I knew why." - Randall Cobb after the game I wish I had a dollar for everytime I read a similar quote from a UK football player or coach over the years.
November 1, 200916 yr I wish I had a dollar for everytime I read a similar quote from a UK football player or coach over the years. The life of a UK football fan is a tough one
November 1, 200916 yr It has been! This is just another in a long, bitter life of games we need more than anything, but just can't get over the hump.
November 1, 200916 yr As I said in the game thread, Cobb had to be hurt, and they were using him only as a decoy. That is the only thing that makes sense to me. Agree....Why on earth would you call QB to run 2 times in a row then sprint out and Cobb not be the QB any of the 3 plays?:idunno::confused:
November 1, 200916 yr This sucks. When I was listening to it we were up then I had to do some stuff. I figureed we won, this stinks.
November 1, 200916 yr "Disappointing? Try season-wrecking." - Larry Vaught in his article http://www.amnews.com/stories/2009/10/31/uks.045177.sto
November 1, 200916 yr Cobb was not injured (from Vaught's article above): Kentucky didn’t put Cobb at quarterback in its wildcat formation for those plays because State had shown it could stop him. Or at least that is what Brooks and his staff decided. “We decided not to do it and when it does not work we open ourselves to be second-guessed on a lot of things,” Brooks said. “We thought we had plays called that were working and they took them away.
November 1, 200916 yr "don't know what to say... sorry" Randall Cobb on Twitter Of course, UK fans can't resist something like this: @rcobb18 How do you not get the ball in the 4th? Just bad play calling.
November 1, 200916 yr Only got to see the second half... Frustrating...about all you can say. Heading into tonight, their were opportunities abound, bowl wise. Now you are left scrambling to find 6 wins....and another lateral bowl game. The defense never adjusted and the playcalling inside the five on UK's second to last drive was simply ignorant. Oh well....
November 1, 200916 yr Very disappointed with team and the playcalling by the Coaching staff,it was sorry, thats the only word I can describe this game with. Now the Vandy game is a much win and if UK wants to go to a bigger bowl ,they need to beat Georgia at their place or beat Tennessee which is hard to do but can be done.Right now UK needs to refocus and take care of EKU next week and get to 5-4.GO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
