I apologize if I missed it. I've scrolled up and down the threads a couple of times. Lexington Herald Leader says the Richie is considering a run for Governor. What do you think ?

It will be a bad day for the state of Kentucky, I can't see him honestly being qualified but he will win simply because of Kentucky basketball. For the record I question whether or not he was qualified for his current gig as well.

Ditto.

Can't see it.

I can, easily. And if the voters of this state do something so monumentally stupid as to elect him, they deserve whatever ill befalls them as a result.

I think he would win.

^I do too, but he is a jerk, and has made a lot of people in certain circles mad, so we'll see.

I don't plan on voting for him. However, unless he does something to offend the whole state, I just don't see him losing this one.

Winning elections has no qualifications. Right?

Sad, isn't it?

I'll take my chances.

Agreed.

He has a degree in ag-business. As far as his experience in the businees world in relation to his degree I'm not sure. But if he was was invovled in the ag-business world, then I would say he is qualified.

While I understand that initial impressions (he was only elected because of basketball) tend to stick, the fact of the matter is that he has been a tremendously successful Commissioner of Agriculture. Many of his buy Kentucky programs have been top notch, and he reorganized a subsidy administration program that now has us as one of the most efficient programs in the country. You all really need to research this further, he is NOT just a former basketball player.

Now, Governor? I'll reserve judgment for now, but he certainly is electable.

We have an elected President with few qualifications... Not a big stretch here.. Richie would be a better Gov. than the one we have now...
