October 30, 200916 yr I don't think Texas will lose until the bowl game, if then. I expect to see the Horns in the BCS Title Game. I expect they'll be playing Florida, 'Bama, or Southern Cal. But, college football never goes as expected, so I'm not sure if I expect any of this to happen.

October 30, 200916 yr SEC football is overrated, and this is a dangerous position for me to take. Dangerous, because CBS has a working relationship with the SEC. At its highest levels, my company pays a lot more money to broadcast SEC football than it pays to publish me. Between SEC football and myself, one of us is expendable. And it's not Tim Tebow. That said, I can't do it. Not for a second longer. I can't carry the water for a football conference that can't carry its own jock. SEC football 2009 is not what it once was. It's certainly not SEC football 2008, when it had the best team in the country. That team was Florida, which laid a 24-14 whupping on Oklahoma in the BCS title game. SEC football 2009 has been living off its past all season, and the backlash is coming. Maybe it's here already. I agree that the PAC-10 is better but I still dont think the Washingtons, Stanfords, and Arizona States of the world would be consistent winners in the SEC. Even the bottom of the SEC is dangerous...Playing Vandy in Nashville or UK in Lexington isnt much fun. Look at the list of teams with the longest winning streaks against non-conference opponents and I think you will see LSU at the top with UK coming in 2cd(Saw that stat on tv last week). I agree with you on USC. They could very well be the best team in the country but thats a tough claim with the Washington loss. And,if Im not mistaken which happens a lot, Cal was in the top 5 before they got destroyed. We could go point-counter point on the SEC/PAC-10 all day and solve nothing. October 31, 200916 yr I bet the SEC still has the National Champion for the fourth straight season. There isn't a team with a Florida type offense, one where Percy Harvin, Louis Murphy, or Andre Caldwell breaks off 80 yard touchdown runs, but it still has by far the two best teams in the country. The middle tier teams aren't as solid this season, but imagine how good it's gonna be next season. Bama will be ungodly, Tennessee will be worlds better, Georgia and LSU should be better and UF won't fall off too much IMO. One down year doens't contitute the SEC falling off. It will be back and I wouldn't be surprised if the SEC has a fourth straight national champion this year and a fifth straight national championship next year.

November 1, 200916 yr Kinda like most years the SEC is a 10 and 95% of other teams in other conferences is a 8 or 9. This year it is kinda like (compared to the past few years of the SEC in which is the bar of college football)the SEC is a 9 and the rest of the nation is a 6 or 7. Florida and Bama are the two best football teams in America hands down with the way that both control both sides of the football. Everyone talks about Texas but all I see is potential and no output in the games I have watched. USC beat Ohio State and that was a joke because OS is a joke. USC back in the day was the standard right along with SEC and now they are with the average college football team. Noone wants to play Florida last year or this year because its a 95% chance of a loss.
