Trinity 21 Ballard 14

Featured Replies

Wow! Sounded like a good game.

Details? I thought this would Ballards year to get Trinity.

Ballard played a good game and they were fired up for sure. I will say that the field conditions may have impacted our passing game but in the end Ballard played a heck of a game.

Our defense really stepped up in the second half, forcing many 3 and outs on the Bruins. We also seemed to overcome considerable focus issues regarding penalties. We were killing ourselves with penalties all night.

That said, I think Coach Jackson is definitely the right man for the job at Ballard.

Replay of this game is on Insight Channel 2 right now. Started at 11:00 pm.

Go Rocks!!

Is there any KHSAA rule regarding usage of air horns during a game?

I was getting quite annoyed by the excessive use of them during the game by the Ballard fans. I don't think it had any bearing on the game but it irritated me and at one point the refs had to get the press box to tell people to stop using them.

I'm with you, they should be banned.

Gritty win by the Rocks! Jackson is doing a great job at Ballard. Field conditions were awful for both team and a factor for such a low scoring game. Another district championship and home field for the playoffs as far as the pigskin will take us... nice!!! Someone help me here! Jimmyref, are you out there! Isn't there a rule about loud music and the band playing during each play in a game? If not, I suggest in two years when we return to Ballard, the T fans bring an instrument to play while Ballard is running there offense. Get my point...

Great game and atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed the night. Rocks are growing up!

Don't worry, rocktopper, the atmosphere was great, but certainly not as loud as either game last year at Trinity.

The concern about the air horns was not disrupting Trinity's communication. The concern was that the horns might be confused for a whistle during a play.

Tough win for the Rocks, I see these two playing again in a few weeks.

Ballard's students were WAY out of line- Students yelling derogatory remarks about the QB and his father - when is the Ballard Admin goin to get control of their students and teach them some discipline? TOTALLY OUT OF LINE.

Heard about that today -- from some Ballard folks. They were mortified to say the least. Sad commentary. Many variables go into creating CLASS.

Some remarks made by their student section were out of line, but at least they had students sitting in the stands cheering for their team. There is no student support at Trinity home games and it's pretty pathetic. There are a ton of kids socializing behind the stands instead of cheering in the stands. It's very sad Trinity has not come up with some way to stop this and force these kids into the stands. School spirit is a lost art!
