October 20, 200916 yr Do you own a business? Questions to others that have/do own businesses - what is your policy on customer satisfaction? I give 100% taking care of my customers! Now if that's not good enough, I let them know there is McDonalds right down the street.:thumb: I have this one guy and his wife that eat at our restaurant a couple of times a week. Every time they order something, they send it back. It used to make me mad, but not anymore. I swear now when they send something back, I just sit it under the heat lamp for a couple of minutes then send it back out. The waitress comes back and tells me he said, "that's more like it." In my business, customer problems are very few. :thumb: Edited October 20, 200916 yr by Birdsfan
October 20, 200916 yr  No, I'm just trying to explain how something can be easily misinterpreted by what's been posted, rather than him thinking I'm attacking his character, which I'm definitely not. I'm willing to let this conversation die here, if you are. I tried to stop talking about it earlier but I failed to do so. It is my fault that I let this discussion continue in Rockmoms thread. This thread should be about her situation, not me. I apologize Rockmom, and I will stop "thread-jacking" you here.
October 20, 200916 yr Ok you guys come one. Enough! This thread is all about Rockmom! Quit yapping at each other or I will put you both in timeout! :D:D

Well, that's might fine of you HB! :thumb: I thought about posting: "STOOOOPPPP!!!! This isn't about you, it's about ME!" (Read that in a whiney voice ) J/K...it was no big deal at all. :thumb:
October 20, 200916 yr Back to the topic, I hope things work out and I hope McDonald's makes things right with you. For now, I'll boycott them until they do . That won't be hard, because I rarely eat their food anyways.
October 20, 200916 yr All of this could have been avoided if rockmom would have simply refused to leave the drive thru until they got her right. That is what I do.
October 20, 200916 yr It's not a moment I'm proud of, but I totally lost it in my neighborhood McDonald's today. If you've ever been around me, or know me, you know I have an extreme consideration for people in the service industry. I have thousands of ways to excuse mistakes, etc. Today, I go through the drive-thru, I order an Egg McMuffin meal, a breakfast burrito and a large hot chocolate. The lady repeats my order, and I drive forward. I pay at the window, and the lady is super nice. I drive up to the 2nd window to pickup my food, and the lady hands me my bag with food (which is correct) and a small hot chocolate. I told her I had ordered a large hot chocolate and needed my drink with my meal. She tells me "No". I said, "No?" Then, I repeated my original order. She then tells me I ordered exactly what she gave me. There's a long line, so I said I'd go around. I go inside, wait in line and explain my situation to the counter girl, who tells me she has to get a manager. Then, I repeat my situation to the manager who tells me I got what I ordered. I explained that I understand how mistakes happen, and that I'm willing to just pay for another hot chocolate, but that I want a large one. And I want the drink that goes with my meal. She then tells me she doesn't understand, that I got what I ordered! I ask then, "Do I get a drink with my meal?" And she tells me no, because it's not on the ticket. I explain that I ordered a meal, which I understood comes with a drink. She then says I got a small hot chocolate. I tell her that was separate, and pointed out that it was at the end of my receipt, and that I'd paid an additional $1.99 for it. Now, I want my drink with my meal, and I want to buy a large hot chocolate. She says she doesn't understand, to which I raise my voice, and said "Forget it! I'll just take this! I don't understand what's so hard to understand!" And start walking out. From the time I turned away from the counter, till the door closed behind me, I could hear her loudly saying I needed an attitude adjustment, and that she's not the one with the problem. I was FURIOUS at this point, but I just left. I'm extremely embarrassed that I let myself lose my temper like that. But for the love of Pete?! Was I wrong? Does a drink not come with a meal any longer? I was told that the last time I ordered a breakfast meal that the drink was extra and was not included in the meal price on the menu board.
October 20, 200916 yr Author I was told that the last time I ordered a breakfast meal that the drink was extra and was not included in the meal price on the menu board. Well....ain't that a whoopin'. They should change the picture then. 'Cause I had no idea, and the picture had coffee, an egg mcmuffin and a hash brown. In the overall scheme of things...no worries. I'll go to DQ for breakfast.

October 21, 200916 yr I also had some runins with McD's too,but nothing like Rockmom had with them. That was really bad on McD's part. I have a question, why is it we the people keep going back to them with all the bad stuff they do to us?:idunno:
