October 20, 200916 yr What's the difference? You were suggesting that I wouldn't be good at working with the public, even though every job I've ever had has been working with the public. You overreacted to what I said and made assumptions on my work ethic and ability to work with the public based on one single sentence. No, I went on what you said and how you're acting about it now and have been throughout the thread. A combative attitude can be a real detriment in working with the public, that's what me and others have been saying. Perhaps you're overreacting to my comment.
October 20, 200916 yr Touche, BirddyBoy. SBUX does have a smaller size than the tall...it's called a Short. Now do you have to bring Gamtime into this??:lol::lol: What's the difference? October 20, 200916 yr Author Almost 1200 views. The longer McDonalds takes to fix this the worse it gets for them. To be fair, I didn't contact McDonald's Corporate until about 5 pm yesterday. So, I would expect that if I'm contacted it won't be until later today or even tomorrow. After that, I will begin to wonder about their committment to customer service.
October 20, 200916 yr If you want to lose money, "the customer is always right." I believe in good customer service but you can't go overboard with satasfying the customer. Do you own a business? Questions to others that have/do own businesses - what is your policy on customer satisfaction? I'm a very loyal customer. I'll use the same companies/businesses as long as I feel as though I am getting good service and products. Recently, I tried a new company for some of the ordering that I do for the school that I work for. I wanted to branch out and try some new products that the previous company didn't have. Boy, was that a mistake! It took the new company twice and long and the order was screwed up. I had ordered items in royal blue and what they shipped me was denim. They kept telling me that that was their royal blue. Funny thing is that another item that they shipped me in royal blue was correct. So I asked which was right? After my refusal to let the issue drop, they finally allowed me to ship back the demin items. I will NEVER order from that company again. For similar items, I usually do $10,000 worth of business each year. That company won't get my money, nor will I recommend them. On a side note, I went out for fast food last night. I did NOT choose McDonalds.
October 20, 200916 yr Do I need to seperate you guys??:lol: No, I'm just trying to explain how something can be easily misinterpreted by what's been posted, rather than him thinking I'm attacking his character, which I'm definitely not.
October 20, 200916 yr I think we should get the employees at McDonalds to tell their side of the story. Then we can figure out what happened since the truth will be somewhere in the middle of the 2 stories. J/K

All I got when I was there was "No", and "You got your hot chocolate". I'd LOVE it if they'd tell me....the REST of the story. :thumb:

October 20, 200916 yr Questions to others that have/do own businesses - what is your policy on customer satisfaction? I think it really depends on a number of variables, such as the size of the business, the amount of money involved, and the long-term damage potential. You just have to weigh all the factors and try to find a balance. Personally, I try to keep things an a positive level from the start, such that you go into the deal with a sense of mutual cooperation. But if the client isn't satisfied, they have a set time period to make changes or to call it off entirely. After that, I feel like I have a right to expect payment, and they have no right to complain.
