Who Will Be UofL's Next Football Coach

Featured Replies

I think it depends on what they want. If it's offense I would be throwing cash at B. Kelley if it's defense then I'd be on the line to TCU!

Kragthorpe has, and has had enough talent to win football games, regardless of the things he had no control over, and he's not doing it. There has been ZERO improvement in 2 1/2 years.

Dead on... Not only has UL lost more games than they should have they've also lost pride, confidence and their swagger. Where's the team that tried to fight any team who they thought was disrespecting them, sure we UK fans made fun of them for it, but it showed how much pride those players had and their swagger was something that everyone noticed. I Watched UL today I seen a team that looked like they could care less, when a guy made a good play there was no one there to pick him up and tell him, no gang tackling and no confidence either. If I was a UL fan that would be the tell tell sign that something needed to change, it’s one thing to lose games it’s another to lose sight of who you are and to lose pride in your program...

Three off the wall possibilities, but guys I think are ready for the BCS spotlight and might take it if they were offered:

Turner Gill- Head Coach at Buffalo

Kevin Sumlin- Head coach at Houston

and...the guy that I would hire in a heart beat if I were a Big East School...June Jones- Head Coach at SMU

I'm surprised more people haven't mentioned him (Sumlin), IMO he is destined to be a big time coach. He definitely has the pedigree...

I can't see BK leaving UC for UL... If he would UL wouldn't have the money it would take to make it happen

I think Turner Gill would be an excellent choice for Louisville.

How about Herm Willingham?

Didn't he play on the Reds 1990 World Series Championship team? :D

Yes, he knows more football than Kragthorpe.

My thoughts exactly.

I like Turner Gill, but he reminds me to much of Kragthorpe, he's had a few good seasons at Buffalo that weren't over the top and hasn't dominated the MAC that much for my liking. I know Buffalo was god awful when he came there I just don't think he's the right fit for our school. My suggestions are Charlie Strong from Florida, big name school he would probably bring the Florida system with him that could be a quick turnaround or Will Venables the D-coordinator from Oklahoma. I believe we need to go the defensive route for the next head coach since we'll be pathetic the last few years. Just my thoughts.

No.....I want no part of him here.
No.....I want no part of him here.

I'm not sold on Gill either, I think he was a flash in the pan...

No.....I want no part of him here.

Why?

Why?

It may sound funny, but it wouldn't be an upgrade from what is here. I either want the hottest up and coming guy out there, or I want a huge name.
