Maybe you just don't have enough priority. :lol: I'm sure they do get everyone in the press box that they feel needs to be in there.

I don't like LCC's they don't have a visitor's side. With all of that money they spent and a big school like that they ought to have it. IMO

Wow. Very nice. Judging from appearances, I'd say that's definitely among the best. Of those that I've been to, however, I'd have to say Ryle's is best and Dixie's is in a close second. Dixie's visitors side is quite disappointing though, as somebody mentioned above.

Along the same lines as the nicest facilities in Kentucky, here are some of the areas where many fields/stadiums that I’ve been too could improve:

 

The Field – bad drainage, divots, ruts, fence or objects too close

Locker Room – too small, none for visiting team

Scoreboard – too small, not working, can’t see

Bleachers/Seating – visitor side too small or none, too old, broke

Concession Stand – Not big enough, one for each side is nice, selection

Restrooms – None on visitor side, too small, dirty

Parking – Not enough, need 4 wheel drive to park in, too far

Press box – too small or none at all

PA system – too weak, too distorted, obnoxious announcer

 

If a facility has none or almost none of these issues it would likely be in the top tier as stadiums goes.

You must have been looking at McCreary Central's facility when you made your list. Everything fits except the field conditions.

Yes, when you come around the mountains there and all of a sudden see that stadium, it is impressive.

Visiting stands holds 800, not as big as we would like, but not as small as the pic looks. It is adequate for about 90% of all the games played there.

 

The deck is really a sidewalk that circles around to the visiting stands from the concession area.

What type of grass is on the field?

 

I agree with you Rebel. Danville has one of the best grass fields. I think that it is Bermuda grass.

 

One of the nices I have seen is The Stadium of Champions. That is in Christian Co. I think Hopkinsville and Christian Co. share the Stadium.
