September 24, 200917 yr Yes I've seen Hendrix play and he is not a big time QB. Go look up his stats against Centerville from a few weeks ago. Heck look up his stats for the entire season. Not good. Not good at all. Watkins, Massa and Miller are all better. He will never be a starting QB at ND. Write that down. I like Welch. Very good TE, but he isn't on the same level as the 4 kids I listed. I didn't put Spencer Ware up with that group and he's going to LSU. It is simply a loaded year for talent in Cincinnati, and being on the top tier this year is tougher than most. That said I think welch will have a very nice career at ND... Is that why he got offers from ND, Ohio State, and Miami? Scout has him at the 10th best QB rivals at 14th and ESPN at 10. I don't care who YOU are, saying that Hendrix is MAYBE a MAC talent is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. Most scouts who don't let grudges get in the way say he is the most underrated player in the country. I've heard alot of scouting analyst say that he is going to be a very good talent. I think I hear a little bitterness speaking. UC will not get the studs in Cincinnati because they want to play for big time programs. If Miami, OSU, Florida, Texas etc. were knocking on my door at the same time UC was I would go with one of them, as would alot of other players and its evident year in and year out. To say Hendrix isn't on thier level is rediculous. He is going to learn from the best at ND and be stud. The University of Notre Dame doesn't come asking a player to come play for them for no reason...
September 24, 200917 yr His post might be post of the year. It has to be in the top 5. Too much butt slapping makes a person wonder.:ohbrother:

Fat Man is way down the list when it comes to good coaches.
September 24, 200917 yr Who would want to play QB for BK when you can play in that dynamic Darth Vestie offense in Columbus... :idunno:

The University of Notre Dame doesn't come asking a player to come play for them for no reason... Bitter about what? I have watched the kid several times and I think he is VASTLY over hyped. JA was dead on with the Schoenhoft comparison and you sound like several OSU fans that I told the same thing to a few years ago. Guess what? I was right then too. Check my track record on this board and get back to me. It speaks for itself. Truth be told I'm not a huge fan of Massa either, and if I was simply being a homer I would have vaulted him up my rankings simply because he is going to UC. That didn't happen, did it? Good try though. Next...
September 24, 200917 yr Who would want to play QB for BK when you can play in that dynamic Darth Vestie offense in Columbus... :idunno: I would say most would rather play for the sweater vest. How many Heisman trophy winning QB's has Kelly or UC had? How many NFL players does Pike play with? How many titles has UC played for lately? I don't think Pryor is any good but he is very highly regarded. Pike is moving into the news, but I don't think he is a top flight NFL prospect at QB. So all or most of us non-Cincinnati fans would rather play for the Vest. Nope, he's going to learn from the fat man, not one of the best. Fat Man is way down the list when it comes to good coaches. Charlie Weis is not a good coach. But, he does actually know what he's talking about offensively. ND's struggles are because they put things like recruiting quality offensive linemen on the back burner for much of this decade. I think Weis is one of the better offensive minds in football. He isn't suited for the college game though, I think he is too smart. In the NFL you don't need 35 points to win. You need to set up plays, and take advantage when you can and play strong defense. In college, 24 points doesn't cut it, and that kind of takes away the schematic things that he does. JMO, but watch some tape on Notre Dame, I think he does have a pretty good grasp on offensive football.

Just checking. I actually think BK may end up being a better coach than Tressell, but we obviously cannot compare the programs. :thumb:

Lefevour is really, really sick. I love to watch him play.:thumb: Jarrett Brown as the 5th best pro prospect at QB in the Senior Class? Yikes that's horrible.
September 24, 200917 yr Jarrett Brown as the 5th best pro prospect at QB in the Senior Class? Yikes that's horrible. It is Kiper so it does have to be taken with a grain or two of salt...
