Prayer Request

Featured Replies

My mom had a nasty fall yesterday outside of her apartment. She luckily didn't have any fractures but had a very bad cut on her face that required 32 stitches. I worry about her since she's going to 80 next month and at her age, one always worries about problems after something like this.

Please keep her in your prayers.

Thats a lot of stitches, especially at her age. You have my prayers, RTS. Keep us updated. :thumb:

That was a pretty nasty cut, I'm glad she is OK.

You might be in trouble, I don't know a woman alive that would give permission to share those photos?

My prayers for your dear mother and for your RTS. I pray she recovers well and that the burden you are feeling will be less.

Oh, I'm so sorry for your poor mom. Bless her heart, I can't imagine how painful that is for her. Thank God she didn't break something. Prayers on the way.

Oh, God love her! She's definitely in my prayers! My dad is 76, and I have the same fears. I about freaked out when he cut his leg with a chainsaw a few years ago.

Prayers from my little world in Greenup County. Bless her heart.

Lord Almighty! I hope your mother doesnt know you posted those pictures.

Seriously though, you need to keep a close eyen on her. Old folks fall for a variety of reasons (blood pressure, heart problems, mini strokes, eyesight to name a few) and often they wont tell anyone they are falling. Keep watching her for bruises, cuts and scrapes. If you suspect this isnt an isolated incident, take her to her doctor for a full workup.

As bad as that cut is, a broken hip is far worse.

RTS, of course your mother is in our prayers. That is a very bad cut.

May God bless, comfort and heal your mothers wounds as well you and family in caring for her.

Ouch that looks awful. Prayers to her and you!

I have to agree with this and anothers statement on the pics RTS , you could be in some serious trouble :eyeonyou:.

God Bless and you take care of your mother, I know that you will. :thumb:

Bless her heart, maybe this will help her in the future in getting around. My Mother-In-Law fell last year and had to go to the hospital and she passed away. She was 84. We wasn't careful with her and didn't take measures with her.

Praying for thanks and the fact she is being cared for.

 She knows I put it the pictures up here, she's OK with it. She and I thank each and every one of you for the prayers and the kind words. :thumb:

She thanks God and, in her words, "her hard Irish noggin" that nothing was fractured.
