$6.66

Featured Replies

This is the funniest thing I've heard all week.

I am ordering the #2 combo, medium sized everytime I go now.

I would have the $6.66 ready in exact change and be talking in tongues when I got to the window. My eyebrows look like Mr. Spock's so I'm already almost there.

 That is good. Really Good. :thumb:

Some how that has never happened to me before. I get the medium #2 all the time? :idunno:
A smart manager would adjust the upsize price a bit instead of having his cashiers add a Misc charge for a penny.

I felt a little sorry for the kid, I was very nice, but I was having too much fun to let him off the hook.

The whole notion of charging a penny more somehow reminds me of Office Space.

I have prepared tax returns in the past where my client's refund(or liability) has come to $666. No way that baby's going to happen under my watch. I always make a change to get it off that number-and always to the client's benefit.:thumb:

The operators of the Wendys should NEVER allow the price to change, however it is quite common in my experience that customers will give a penny more to change the price on their own, probably about 50% of the time this happened people would do this. But they should never be asked or made to.

There is a number of the AntiChrist and it shall be ###.

Watusi, great idea. I've been studying the last book of the Bible...WOW

Our last two digets of our phone is 66, thats OK.

Jackson's phone numbers are 666 I'm pretty sure. I remember that from my days at the wonderful Lees College campus. Seems like they would have changed that, who wants to dial that all the time?

You are right about the number in Revelation but that doesn't mean that everytime the sequence of 6's comes up then it's the Mark of the Beast.

FWIW, one of the exchanges here in Martinsville/Henry County, VA is the prefix 666. :thumb:

This has got to be one of the strangest things I’ve heard in a while. Kind of like buildings not having a 13th floor or hotels not having a room 13. I would think that any company charging more than the advertised price of a product simply because of a superstition would open itself up for all sorts of scrutiny and legal problems; even it is only a penny. Too many people are reading too much Dan Brown.

First time I've ever been called the anti Christ. I've been called a lot of bad things, but never that. :D

I'll bet it happens a lot. I ordered a #2 combo and upsized it to a medium. Fairly common I would guess.

They probably make an extra 30 or 40 cents a week like that.

You UPSIZED to a medium? I thought that medium was the standard size that most combos come in. :taz:

Later.

Toots has been called some things in private here on BGP that would shock your senses...

Don't threaten me C or I will tell all!

Think about the kids whose birthdays are June 6, 2006.:scared:

Does anybody remember when 666 was on many of the UPC codes and customers would make the worker punch in the product numbers instead of scanning them? My Religion professor was talking about that the other day in class.
