Kentucky is getting absolutely ZERO respect...

39th in the USA Today Poll. That is where I see them around right now.

I continue to hate the fact that these polls are out this early. There should be no polls until at least four weeks into it. If we had simply watched the weeks games and then ranked the teams we would have a much better starting point for the season.

Still think FSU is a top 25 team, UK should be top 30 I'd think.

That isn't too bad but I think its ridiculous that they don't even get 1 vote at all in AP poll while teams like Houston, Tulsa, and Southern Mississippi do.

Yeah. Beating a MAC team that was 2-10 last year should make the voters sit up and notice more.

Does it really matter if Kentucky is ranked? If they win 6 games they will go to a bowl game, if they don't, they won't.

I understand they didn't play a great team but my gripe is the fact that they don't even get 1 vote while other teams like Houston, Tulsa, and Souther Miss do? Do you think those teams are actually better than UK?

I never expected them to ranked but not getting any recognition or votes at all is what suprised me.

I dont know. Offer me up a breakdown of those teams vs. UK.

If you dont have one, I'm curious as to why you think Kentucky is automatically better than them.

I thought so too. IMO, the only bad thing about the loss to Miami was that it was at home.

Don't see a problem with the rankings...kind of surprised BYU jumped 11 spots considering the circumstances of the win, but other than that no big problems. I'd have Penn State #5 over Okie State and USC would be 2, Bama 3 and Texas 4.

I'm happy to see UC in there!

Remember this in December: Florida got all the first place votes and Texas got two. USC, who was impressive, got none. When all three of those teams are undefeated at the end of the year (possible), it will be Texas and Florida in the title game because of homers in Texas voting.
