The only saving grace for UL is that the Big East is looks to be poor this season. Not sure if it will make a difference or not, just saying...

I wasn't impressed at all. If you are a D-1 football program that was just in a BCS bowl 2 years ago. You only beat a team that has lost 52 of their last 53 games by 20 points, you have a real need to be concerned.

Defensively I thought the team played well. I was pleased with only giving up 10 points. The defense should feel good, because the offense didn't help them out at all. I don't think the Cards will be that bad on defense as long as the injury bug stays away.

Offensively the stomach hurts just think about that performance. I was suprised the Cards just didn't line up and run it down ISU throat. Burke looked like a freshman, he will have to really work the next two weeks.

Right now UofL has to be 21 point underdog to the Cats.

Ugly ugly ugly.

I went to the restroom right after we retook the lead. While in line one guy shouts "Burke stinks" then shortly followed by "No Kragthorpe stinks" which received an ovation and shortly followed by a "Bring back Cooper". I think Kragthorpe now has less than 10% of fans supporting him, that doesn't mean the rest of the fans are going to be vocal about it but he has little wiggle room for any mistakes. Unless Louisville beats Kentucky, which I don't expect to happen, I can hardly see a situation where he will be here next season.

If there is anything good to come out of the game it is that we have shown a lot of weaknesses, and that can be a good thing if you put your work in to improve upon them.

In which case I hope Ryan Frederick gets a chance to start more for the Rocks so he will have more experience as the starter next season.

Funny things happen from time to time when UK and UL play, and sometimes the unexpected happens. I expect UL to play well versus UK.

From talking to a few coaches who were at the game, two things stood out to them. One was how small physically ISU was and the other as to why/how UL failed to simply physically overwhelm them.

Cats will be about a 13pt favorite, IMO. And easily cover that number. UofL is somewhere between bad and pathetic, and they will continue to be there until Kraggers is showed the door.

I went to both games on Saturday and UK is bigger and more athletic than UL, the game will not be close. UL has no shot to be UK this year. ISU was the smallest college footbal team ever. St.X and Trinity have more size than those guys.

Missouri State beat Quincy 70-3. Just saying.

Heard Kragthorpe was not too happy after the game. Not exactly the night many had hoped for in front of a bunch of recruits. Far from a sellout and the boo birds were out.

Maybe it was bad for some football recruits, if they even had any there. But from everything I've seen the basketball recruits that were there had a solid visit and I expect UofL to land a couple of those big time recruits that were there. Just watched an interview that Wayne Blackshear did after the visit. He said UofL was the clear number one.

Outside of the Football team getting a win. That is one of the major bright spots of the weekend.

Kraigthorpe needs to get his resume updated after this one.

Could we possibly see back to back shutouts by a UK defense?

Everyone that I have talked to (and went to both games) said the exact thing same you posted.

I think it's very possible.

I don't understand the booing. This is the first game. I know it's ISU, but you have a new DC and OC, right? Cut the kids a break. It could be worse, UofL could have lost to William and Mary.

I'm with you, swamprat. But, I'm just ignoring the many, and sticking with my merry little band of believers....:D

I'll say that the actual booing is much more subdued than it was during the initial fall from grace. Most of the fans aren't getting angry about it anymore they are laughing about it to dull the pain.
