September 3, 200917 yr MediaMatters, Habib? :ohbrother: So Reagan set the bad precedent. Still doesn't mean that I like it. MediaMatters? And I was just throwing it out there. I don't have a particular opinion on the matter at the moment.
September 3, 200917 yr MediaMatters? And I was just throwing it out there. I don't have a particular opinion on the matter at the moment. I figured MediaMatters was where you got that from, I haven't seen it from anywhere else. I do wonder how the 4 schools which President Reagan spoke to handled it in terms of parental review. When do we get your opinion, BTW?

September 3, 200917 yr He is starting the "Obama Youth"! When I read some of the comments on these boards I feel like quoting Barney Frank.
September 3, 200917 yr Not all homes have TV's.So, they can take their kids to someone's house that has one. What's so hard about that?
September 3, 200917 yr When I read some of the comments on these boards I feel like quoting Barney Frank.Or you can quote some of these loons. A school principal showed this video at an assembly at an elementary school. It's garbage like this that makes people distrustful of those on the left with their little agendas. The distrust follows up the ladder to Obama and it's no surprise. You can't blame parents for not wanting their kids to sit through this stuff, nor can you blame them for being leery of what Obama might say to them. "I pledge allegiance to Barack Obama" "I pledge, to be a servant to our president" :ohbrother: Edited September 3, 200917 yr by Run To State
September 3, 200917 yr I wish parents REALLY cared this much about what was going in and on at schools. In my 4 years as a site base member, I've had 3 total parents show up at meetings.
September 3, 200917 yr Seems that schools are offering parents the ability to opt-out their children. And the decision is up to each class/school. So, since parents DO have a choice, does this change anyone's opinion?

September 3, 200917 yr Good question. I'm not trying to argue. I just genuinely don't understand what all the furor is about. It's insane. Ding ding ding ding.... The nation has gone insane when the idea of the president addressing school children becomes a political football.
