August 24, 200917 yr I have been listening to a lot of older rap lately on a playlist I made. Looking for some songs to add and what songs other BGP'ers like. Here is a quick top ten that is definitely subject to change. (I'm only using one song per artist...feel free to do yours however you want) "Juicy" - Notorious B.I.G - This is easily my favorite rap song of all time and the only one on this list that is ranked. "Rosa Parks" - Outkast - Probably my favorite Outkast song which is saying a lot! "Just a Friend" - Biz Markie - I love this song...when I hear it I'm automatically in a better mood. Such a fun song that makes you hold the dial anytime it comes on. "What They Do" - The Roots - Unlike a lot of their albums where they have a more laid back and less hip hop feel...this song comes off of Illadelph Halflife and is easily the best song off of that album. "Gin and Juice" - Snoop Doggy Dogg - Probably the only rap song that every white guy from the ages of 18-35 can sing the lyrics of (mainly due to The Gourds version). "Rappers Delight" - Sugarhill Gang - Can this list be complete without it? "Nuttin But a G Thang" - Dr. Dre feat Snoop Doggy Dogg - I come close to ranking this one at #2... "Cant Knock the Hustle" - Jay-Z - This makes the list mainly due to the live version from the Unplugged album that was released in 2001...but since it was originally on the Reasonable Doubt album I'm putting it on here (as a sidenote...the Unplugged album may be the best rap album ever). "Krazy" - Makaveli - My favorite Tupac song of all time. The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory is definitely my favorite Tupac album as well. "Boys In Da Hood" - Eazy E - Can gangsta rap get any more gangsta than this?

August 25, 200917 yr I guess it would probably count more as an R&B song than hip-hop, but I always liked "Too Close" by NEXT....
