Matthew Stafford is the only quarterback shown who is holding the ball tilted away from his body at close to 45 degrees. This is a college picture while Matthew was at the University of Georgia. I guarantee you, his ball position will change in the NFL. Just wait and see.

NFL quarterback coaches teach meshing the football up and down against the body. No 45 degree tilt. It is easier for players rushing the quarterback to strip the football when a quarterback holds it tilted away from his body with the point sticking out.

Drew Brees in the above picture is not holding the football away from his body tilted 45 degrees. His ball position is close to his body in a vertical position in every picture I have seen.

^ It does not have to be at exactly 45 degrees some a little less as long as the wrist is cocked. I used 45 degrees as a visual reference.

Not all NFL qb coaches teach the ball position I am speaking about nor do all of them have it pointed down as you have suggested. I am just pointing out that what I said is fundamentally sound.

Agree to disagree!

In my opinion I thought he was better than Guidugli last year. :

Agreed.

Top qb in NKY this year IMO with a slight lead over West.

D1 size and arm strength plus can run very well. Nice prospect.

I know nothing about Conner's defense, but going against Highlands defense day after day will only improve Bardo's skills. Not to mention his skills are already very very good!

I know one thing for certain - I can not wait to see Bardo in action. What is his first name again... Brett?

That's right. I was just thinking they called him Brett on ESPN.:D

Is Bardo faster than Collinsworth? Based upon what I am reading here, one might come to that conclusion, but I seriously doubt it. Watched Austin run the 100m, 200m and 400 all spring, with the 100m being a pretty good predictor of 40-yd times. Based upon his Milesplit results, Austin is probably about a 4.65 40-guy. Bardo would have to be able to 'blow his doors off' to be running a legit 4.5. It takes an 11-flat 100m runner to lay down a 'real' 4.5, and I haven't seen any of those in NKY carrying the ball in years.

Running faster than that requires some serious wheels which would place you on the winners podium at the state track meet. No one from NKY was standing up there this past spring. Certainly Bardo can run, but lets get serious! I don't care what college coach is running the stopwatch, they are probably giving the guy a generous impulse start. Lets get rid of the hype! (or show us the money!)

Good thing for Will is that running a 4.5 is not necessary to be a successful D1 QB. He has the right size and if he can beef up to take a few hits from 300-pounders running 5-flats, then he's golden. As for the QB at St. X, he's probably projected as a slotman or corner.

A lot of short term memory on the sight recently. Matt Brutscher, St. X. QB last year was one of the finalists for Mr. Football. Don't be surprised to see St. X's Brian Buehner in the same category this year.

Actually, Will Bardo, Austin Collinsworth, Colin Rosenhagen and John Drennen, all seniors on Highlands football team, were on the state track meet podium last spring for winning the state championship in the 4 x 400 meter relay.

You need to read the earlier post. He was timed in the 4.5's at Ohio State's Camp...

I don't think Will really cares if you think he can run a 4.5 or not and it really doesn't matter if he is faster than one of his teammates or not. He is out there playing whatever position his coach ask him to play and what ever is best for the team.

OK, let's try to cut through the hype. First, as to Bardo, I am going to have to join the doubters about the 4.5 40 time. If he ran that time at the Ohio State camp as 6'4" QB with a cannon for an arm, he would have D1 offers pouring in the door. The true judge of who is the best QB are probably the college coaches paid to evaluate talent. What QB's in the state have D1 offers on the table or have committed to a D1 school?
