Guys and Dolls has opened

I too pass it going into other places and only go there to see a specific band or two. The businesses in that building have always had a hard time defining themselves. I hope they stay open, but I see them on life support right now.

They need to put a chain restaurant there and be done with it. Olive Garden, Outback something like that would do great in that location. I'm not sure how he pays the bills on 3 nights a week knowing how expensive that property has been in the past when purchased which was $1.6M most recently.

I know of a fraternity party being hosted there next weekend. I'm sure that will bring in some $$$, but still I agree with everyone else.

I think it's "Officially" closed now. Not sure how long it has really been closed. It lasted 3 years but honestly I'm not even sure the last time it was really open.

That building is where restaurant owners go to burn money. Time to use it for something else.

When it was Buckskin Bevs it did a really good business for years..

I recently read an article that said they would be opening on a limited basis while also offering a banquet hall for weddings and such. I guess that didn't pan out.

Times are tough in the restaurant/bar game. Jeff Ruby shut down Walnut St. Grill this weekend as well. I'm shocked that he didn't secure a spot at The Banks. I'm stoked there is a Ruth Chris opening up there this fall.

I would think it would be hard to staff a place that only opens once in a blue moon?

I really don't understand why nothing can last there...its a shame.

I don't get it either. Tons of people living in the area. Nice big building, with ample parking.

Build an Olive Garden or Outback booom done. Problem solved.

Not disagreeing, but I don't think that location falls in with the business models for those types of places. They always seem to be located around malls or other high traffic retail areas. I agree though, it probably needs to be a chain.

Well, there also isn't a ton of sit-down options around there too, which is another reason it baffles me that nothing ever does well there. I'd love to see another (non-chain) give it a go, but I'm afraid HT might be right.
