Saw where they had a grand opening party and sold seats for $20.00-$25.00.

Has anybody made the trip to the new place in Northern Ky.? Any Reviews?

Zero chance it makes it...

Kids.

Sorry guys, but there's a great big world out there that isn't part of the college scene. The place will do just fine.

I mean you do have to look at the past several establishments there and no matter what it would have to at least give you doubts on its survival BF.

Thanks for the link to their website. Limited menu, $5.00 cover charge, bands that my dad went to watch when he was my age (and I'm old).

It looks like it is going to be a rough ride for Steve Chuke and company. I'm sure I'll give them a try, but than again I've tried every other business that opened and closed there. Best wishes to Guys and Dolls and I look forward to trying the Elvis Burger! :ylsuper:

I would love to see the place succeed. As a "fifty-something", I most often seek my entertainment beyond the bounds of bars, clubs, MMA and 'rasslin'. However, the establishments that have been located here don't have the greatest track record.

I think it has a decent chance, precisely because it does serve a different crowd. There are plenty of places catering to the wet-behind-the-ears college bar hoppers. This goes after an entirely different demographic. It's a tough location, but Steve seems to be a creative guy, and he does have some good industry connections. So maybe it will catch on and be a success. I hope it does.

I didn't say it was a sure thing. But I'm not going to say it has no chance. Younger people (not that I'm that old) only remember the recent string of failures. But that property has been there as a business for many decades. Some very successful establishments have called it home. It's a rare business that can stay afloat for decade after decade in the same spot. So it's natural that there have been several different occupents of the property.

My guess is that I'm older than you so "younger people" doesn't apply to all.

We'll see a decent at best initial interest and then ghost town unless his food is outstanding which will allow him to get a few people from Campbell Co. No one is going to go out of their way from Boone,Kenton, or Cincy to go there more than once.

Acts like the Everly Brothers were big - in the 50s.
