I honestly haven't been there yet because I have been out of town for the past year, but from the vibe I get they must be doing alright at the least. Seems like they get a good college crowd on some random nights throughout the last year (like Wednesdays I believe). I think they are also beginning to explore opportunities in hosting "events", because I believe the organization that I helped advisor will be hosting on there in September.

I have heard that Guys & Dolls will host some events too, MJ. I've heard they have good burgers, too. That's about it.

DJ Clockwork is going to be hosting a new college night @ Guys & Dolls every Thursday night, starting tomorrow.

 

The ad I saw says $1 Beers, $3 Bombs, & $3 Wells ALL NIGHT.

 

I'll be interested to know what the crowd is like. But, my gut tells me nobody on BGP will attend. :lol:

^ I have been to a few college night there. Most weren't good but some were OK.

2-5 years ago I would have been all over this, instead I spent the majority of my Thursday Night evenings at Skyline Tavern lol.

 

My fraternity had a party there Friday evening, that supposively went very well (700+ from what I was told). I believe they'll be having more of those in the future.

Never been there before, thats not a bad deal but its hard to compete with Molly Malones in Covington on thursdays. They have 5 for 5 beers and well drinks. Gets really packed on those nights, sometimes a little too much for my taste.

I'm not an expert on the NKU nightlife. I don't think they can attract a big enough crowd on a nightly basis, but the college crowd is a market that G&D should definitely kick the tires on. College students have the ability to organize events like MJ referred to & bring in serious cash.

Especially after their student loans are directly deposited into their checking accounts which most had done today I believe. Look for alot of NKU students out and about tomorrow night I'm sure.

Guys and Dolls is a pretty nice bar I have been there twice!

I get those event invitations just about 2-3 times a week from one of your brothers. Perhaps once the end of the semester is closer, I'll probably need to get out and drink by then.

Not trying to say that you are wrong UKMF, but they had a college night at Guys & Dolls in the spring semester that turned out a decent crowd. The majority of that crowd moved to Molly's, which has now seemed to make its way to Arnie's. Either way, both of those establishments do well on Thursday nights.
