Jordan Crawford dunks on Lebron

Featured Replies

I bet there would have been a huge uproar about them video taping if Lebron gave a facial to Jordan and it was "leaked" to youtube. Come on man.

Yeah, LeBron is going to leak a youtube video of him dunking on Jordan Crawford.....that's realistic.

Like I said, people are looking for a reason to hate on LeBron. That's all this is to me. Tasteful or not, who cares? Who is not going to pay money to watch LeBron because of some videographers that broke the camp rules? To me, that is petty.

It seems pretty obvious to me that this has been a rule that has been in place for years. He has been doing this camp for a few years now and the rumor is that these pick up games played there are legendary games. I have yet to see of any of these games ever played anywhere on the internet or any highlights of these games on espn. That being said, for me, I believe the Nike representatives when they say no photos or videos allowed during thsese pick up games and that is indeed why they confiscated the tapes.

I wouldn't even hate on LeBron if it was my son who dunked on him and all video was taken away. If Jordan Crawford really did dunk on him, he doesn't need any video of it so why should any one else be worried about it? I think people need to get over themselves......seriously.

Are you Lebron's brother or something? Im sure if he would have dunked all over Jordan Crawford at the camp the Nike representatives would have still asked for the videographers film. If what you say is true, that this camp has been going on for years and noone has EVER been allowed to even take a picture, then one would think that nike wouldn't let anyone even bring a camera to the games. True? You would think that the video people would KNOW better then to bring their stuff. You would think...

They aren't allowed to videotape the after hours pick up games. They can videotape sanctioned camp events. The after hours pick up games aren't sanctioned events thus no videotaping allowed. I am sure that part of it is because of the colorful language used on the court during these pick up games which involve various NBA players and the college camp counselors.

And obviously I am not LeBron's brother, if I was I'd be destroying all tapes of the Eastern Conference Finals when Courtney Lee dunked on LeBron. After that, I'd be destroying all copies of his missed shots, shots of LeBron's getting blocked, LeBron getting his ankles broke, and everytime someone stole the ball from him as well. Seeing as how that has happened so many times and it's all a part of NBA footage that anyone can access if they want, I have a lot of work to do.

There may be more to this that Nike does not want out. Look at the shoes the kid is wearing. Are those Adidas? Could be why Nike doe snot want it out.

The media has ruined many superstars. IMO, their life off the court is none of our business.

Pretty sure this happened on court..not off court!

If he is a media darling then why is the media making a big deal about this then? Why are Skip Bayless and Jemele Hill talking about it on 1st and 10? Why will this likely be discussed on Around the Horn and PTI? Some media darling. If he was a media darling we wouldn't be hearing about how he is so immature when again.......there is no videotaping of after hours games allowed at the King James Academy and because the 2 videographers weren't following the rules their tapes were confiscated. Obviously there was some sort of rule in place because they sure gave them up. If the dunk was that big of a deal why wouldn't they have just left with the video evidence? True photographers and videographers wouldn't give up their material willingly unless they know they were taking illegal photographs or filming illegally.

Like I said, sounds like disgruntled videographers to me.

Hmmm pretty funny that there is "no videotaping" right after he gets dunked on. Had it been the other way around or something then oh sure Nike would have liked it. And I find it quite funny that the videotapes were confiscated right after he got dunked on and not right after the game started. Bush league on every account and you're in denial!

Exactly!

There's gotta be something more to this. If not, pretty weak on LeBron's part.

For those of you who brought up Kobe...give it a rest. I don't like Kobe, but I'm having a hard time deciding whether the "Kobe would've done it too" argument or Lebron taking the tapes is more immature & pathetic.

Good pub for Jordan Crawford. Now that he has left Indiana I'm allowed to cheer for him.

It's a petty move on Lebron and Nike, it was a dunk not someone trying to fight him. Show the tape and move on! :thumb:

Wow you are eating this up aren't you. You do know that Nike reps and Nike PR people are there to spin stories to make Nike look good and to do no harm to their main man Lebron. Of course they're not going to say "Oh sure he came over and asked us to take the tapes, I mean we don't want this video to get out that Lebron is human and can get dunked on".

Come on PP92 you can't be serious.

I like LeBron and I like the way he plays basketball, but if this story is true, it makes him seem kind of like a crybaby. The crow he would've ate over the video is less than what he'll have to eat for seeming childish.

You are right, it is petty, which is why people are so baffled and up in arms about it all.

Like it or not, LeBron is the biggest thing going for the NBA and he is a media dream come true... LeBron himself eats it up and is a huge celebrity. The victim card talk is simply not true. He has eaten it up so much, he has become another Nike puppet that basis his entire life on what is best for check book. Expect a lot of praise in high times, but expect a lot of criticism in the lower times. Since the final buzzer of the Eastern Conference finals, LeBron has not exactly had a great off season.

IMO, had the video came out we wouldn't even be talking about it now but this is a much bigger story when he tries to destroy the evidence. I mean really does he think he is untouchable?

I agree. We would have talked about it for a couple of hours and moved on. People get dunked on all the time.

I wonder if there was something else in the video people (i.e. Nike/LeBron) did not want us seeing.

Funny, this whole time I've been thinking that exact statement about LeBron. What a baby.

Dead serious. I believe the spin from the Nike people. Mainly because after 4 years of these after hour pickup games, not one time has any of these games been video taped and shown to the masses. He's likely to have been dunked on before in one of these games. There are actually games you can go watch right now where he has been dunked on. I don't understand why this time is so different than the others when the people who are paid to film and take pictures of the camp are told before the camp that they are not to video tape the after hour pick up games. Again, if it wasn't a preset rule to begin with, we'd all have seen the dunk, but obviously, Nike and LeBron had some kind of legal right to take that tape.

Seriously, do you guys truly think that Nike would be that worried over a video tape of LeBron getting dunked on? Seriously......after all these years of Nike being the number 1 shoe company in the world, they'd be worried about LeBron getting dunked on, when it has already happened on numerous occasions. If anything, they'd take care of Jordan Crawford when he goes pro, if he is so fortunate. Nike is not going to lose any money or any sleep over anybody dunking on LeBron. You guys can't really believe that. What are they going to do, edit the next golf tourney when Tiger misses a putt so the world can't see it? The logic people try to use in all of this is what baffles me because in the grand scheme of things, nobody cares if LeBron got dunked on and if not for a rule that was broken regarding video taping the after hour pick up games, it wouldn't be a story. Fact of the matter is the Lebron James camp is probably the biggest camp in the nation and so many people saw it take place, it doesn't matter if there is video or not. The fact that the rule was broken but it's turned into a whole "LeBron confiscated video of him getting dunked on", IMO, is absurd.

I knew once he didn't shake Howard's hand and go talk to the press after the Cavs lost that people would start looking for any little thing to get on LeBron about.

You are wearing some pretty big blinders right now. No one cares about what Nike did, it's what Lebron did, he went over to Nike and had them take the tapes. Of course Nike doesn't care and has no reason for the tapes but they have to keep Lebron happy or he'll take himself elsewhere and Nike doesn't want that to happen.

Also, the reason you've never heard this come up before at the previous Nike camps is because no one else has been such a crybaby over being dunked on before. Nike let the videotaping go on for over 20 minutes during that game before the incident and just so happens right after Lebron got dunked on, and whispered something in the Nike reps ear, then they take the tapes? Yeah right!

You can debate it all you want, and take up for Nike and Lebron but it was a bush league move and had it happened to anyone else you'd be on the other side of the fence.
