Okay, I'll nitpick. Be in first place at the all star break if he'd bunt runners over. How's that?

Thats fine. My retort: with a team full of backup players still could be in 1st by the break. How soon we forget the last 15 years of misery we have endured with this club. You'd think everyone would embrace the good times. Everyone is so "negative"

Well, young fella, you were the one who said nitpick, so I obliged.

Pitching is the key. We finally have some and you can see the result. Not a huge Dusty fan. Frankly I think we are where we are in spite of him. I'll agree that it is fun to look at the box scores every morning with a little zest over more than simply seeing how your fantasy players did.:thumb:

I certainly was. He was playing LF, not hitting, and playing terrible defense. He plays much better defense as a CF, and has regained his confidence, and is hitting both left handers and right handers as of late. I still don't see him as the CF of the future, but he's definitely their best option right now.

On the year, Dickerson is hitting .288 with 2 HR, 12 RBI & 5 SB. He's walked 27 times & struck out 44.

Not overly impressive numbers, but I agree that he's our best option right now. With this lineup, you have to play the hot bats. That's why I was so adamant about getting Gonzalex out of the lineup early on.

Dickerson's #'s last month:

24/67, .358 AVG with 4 RBI, 3 SB, 6BB & 15 K.

You simply cannot keep a guy that's hitting .358 out of this lineup...

Homer Bailey against the Cards tonight. I guess we'll see if that splitter is for real or not.

I just hope we walk Pujols 4 times. Do NOT let him beat us like he did against Harang...

We will see Mark DeRosa in a Cards' uni for the 1st time this year. What are the chances he gets 3 hits tonight & continues to kill the Reds?

He hurt his wrist and might miss the series...

Hmm. I thought I have read on here that Dusty doesn't handle his pitchers very well either.. Done with this. I'm just happy we're not subjected to the crud that had been wheeled out in Cincy year after year and it is fun to follow them again.

That comes with still being in the mix in early July.

Yep. I remember.:thumb:

Did someone hack into your account Mal? Where are all these positive vibes coming from. :D I love it....

E-5 is back. Richar to the DL with a torn labrum. Who wants to bet that Dusty sits him on the bench tonight. He'll say, "I don't want to rush him back. We'll let him get his feet wet by pinch hitting for a couple of days if we need him.":lol:

It might not be intentional but I hope for the same result.

Last time Pujols came to Cincy, Reds pitchers held him to 1-11. They just need to pitch around him and let Ludwick and Duncan beat them not "The Machine"...
