Track the Reds (Week 13)

Featured Replies

Last time Pujols came to Cincy, Reds pitchers held him to 1-11. They just need to pitch around him and let Ludwick and Duncan beat them not "The Machine"...

You wiling to be all of your possessions that he goes 1/11 again?

Dusty is so predictable, and pathetic. Just exactly what does he have to see him do for a day or so? He saw him all of last year, and I'm sure he read the reports from Louisville. Just put him in, and see what he can do. Gosh he drives me crazy.

Encarnacion, activated today from the DL, might play Saturday.

"I've got to see him a day or so first," manager Dusty Baker said. "I might play him tomorrow. We'll see."

Encarnacion: "I'm happy to be back. I feel 100 percent ready to help the team win games. I feel I can a lot for my team to help win the division."

No Hanigan after going 3 for 3 yesterday and sitting on a .336 average?

Also great to see Hanigan back on the bench after his 3 hits yesterday. I sure hope Westsider is right, and this is Dusty's last year. :ohbrother::isurrender:

Exactly. I give up.

Yeah, they're finally competitive, so let's get rid of the manager....

Yeah, because Dusty is the one who has made them competitive.

Not exactly sure why Bruce gets bumped up to the 5 hole. Guess Dusty was ultra-impressed with his bunt the other night. Oh well . . . .

Yeah, they're finally competitive, so let's get rid of the manager....

"Competitive" is relative. One game over .500 isn't exactly killing it.

Why bring a player you consider to be a starter back up if you're not convinced he's ready to go? If you're not sure, let me him stay in AAA and hit.

They are competitive in spite of Dusty, not because of him.

Yeah, because Dusty is the one who has made them competitive.

He's done a far better job than any of the previous guys, so yeah, I think he does have something to do with it.

I'm not saying I agree with the decision, but to say he hasn't played a part in them being "more competitive than they have been the past 5-6 years" (is that better?) is hilarious.

No he hasn't. Pete Mac. did a much better job, with a lot less. It's the pitching staff that has this team where it is, not Dusty.

 Couldn't disagree more, but there's no reason even trying to argue with you on the Reds....

Dusty is doing a lot better than the managers of past. Who else you going to get, people aren't knocking down the door to manage in Cincy. There isn't much difference in Hernandez and Hanigan. They are both good hitters, not really a drop off either way.

Hernandez: .252 5HR's 32 RBI's 244 AB's

Hannigan: .336 1HR 8 RBI's 134 AB's

Hernandez seems to be a much more capable run producer and Hanigan has the superior average.
