June 24, 200917 yr John C. Reilly stifling the Reds tonight. How bad of an offensive team do you have when you can use the DH and you still roll out a guy hitting .198? I think Owings spot in the rotation could be in jeopardy. As Westsider said the Reds need hitters period. I say take it one the chin, try to kep your head above water and build for the future. They don't have any thing better.
June 24, 200917 yr ^ I would say Homer has to get a chance with the way he has been throwing. A chance to replace Maloney, not Owings at this point. Plus, Homer has to prove he can pitch at the MLB level. I've been pleased with Owings. Most teams would like to have a 5th starter with a ERA in 4's and a batting average around .300.
June 24, 200917 yr I say bring Homer up while is confidence is high, he's been on fire for the past month in AAA. He's proven he can play AAA ball, now it's time to see if he can make it on the MLB level.
