June 22, 200917 yr I could see 4-2 during those 6 games. Then again I could see a 1-5 as well. I don't have a feel at all about how they will do. This team perplexes me, and I keep beating the dead horse that they need another hitter to put in the middle of the lineup (not just Votto).

June 23, 200917 yr Homer Bailey has been lights out over the past month or so in AAA. He's going to take Maloney's spot soon. Good to see Edwin is swinging the stick again. I think we should give him some extended time in AAA to regain some confidence & get things going. Problem is, we can't afford to have him in AAA too much longer. With the return of Votto & E-5, this lineup could start to look a lot different by next weekend.

Here are some names that I think are going to be moved: Mark DeRosa - Cleveland Matt Holliday - Oakland Felipe Lopez - Arizona Aubrey Huff - Baltimore Nick Johnson - Washington From my list, I'd be most willing to trade for DeRosa & Huff. I'd be interested in Holliday, although I wouldn't mortgage my future for him. His career was built in Colorado & I think he's in the final year of his contract. Two reasons for me to be wary & stay away...or at least significantly lower what I'd offer. I really like DeRosa. Maybe it's what he's done to the Reds in the past? Maybe it's his versatility? Whatever it is, I think he'd fit in well in Cincinnati and he can play multiple positions (1st, 2nd, 3rd, OF).
